Henrik
ParticipantHi.
I bought events calendar pro, and wootickets last autumn, and I have just renewed my license.
I bought it because I am tired of fiddling with EventsEspresso and because you are the company so far that understands, that each plugin should not try to reinvent an ordering system but instead use an existing commerce solution. So to night I installed the 3.1 events calendar / pro / woo tickets
It is on a localhost test environment, so I am unable to give you access but so far I can see a few issues.1. I created a single recurring event, over 5 days. There are only 5 records in the backend, but the calendar is showing one instance of the event the first day, 2 copies the second day, 3 copies the third day etc.
See this attached image of the records : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3809836/EventsRecords.jpg
And this image of the display on the calendar: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3809836/EventsCal.jpg
2. Notice the in translatable text by the way.
3. The plugin conflicts with Tribulant email newletter plugin ( I have reported that bug to tribulant)
4. Date format is more or less wrong in the entire plugin. I live in Denmark, we use 24 hour time format, Months start with a capital letter, etc. But there are no where I can set this in the plugin. Finally, a request.
Why is the event calendar display shown on the events page, not included as a widget? I wan’t to be able to show it on the front page. What will it take to widgitize the calendar.October 28, 2013 at 2:23 pm #73453Barry
MemberHi Henrik,
Let’s deal with the first issue here – I’d ask that you post your second/third/fourth questions and your request in individual threads, however, as we try to stick to a policy of one issue per thread. Thanks!
I created a single recurring event, over 5 days. There are only 5 records in the backend, but the calendar is showing one instance of the event the first day, 2 copies the second day, 3 copies the third day etc.
So, basically you have set things up such that each instance of the event lasts for 2 months. The first instance starts on 20 November and so will show for all days on the calendar from 20 November until 20 January. Your second instance is of equal length – it will show on 21 November and every day until 21 January, etc.
So this is actually expected behaviour. Of course, if you weren’t expecting this you are probably trying to do something else – can you explain more about when each event should take place?
(For instance, should it be Wednesday – Thursday every week for two months, starting 20 November?)

ParticipantI cleaned everything up. Problem solved.
The rest of the questions will be handled when I get the time to create other threads.
I don’t personally understand why events plugins all have troubles with this recurring stuff.
The easy way to do this would be to just have a visual calendar where you could tick the date for each recurring event.October 30, 2013 at 1:15 pm #73843Barry
MemberHi Henrik – great!
The easy way to do this would be to just have a visual calendar where you could tick the date for each recurring event.
I’m not quite sure what you’re suggesting here (manually checking off every date in an event that recurs several days a week for a number of months, for instance, could be quite time consuming) but if you want to expand on your idea and share on our feature request page that would be fantastic – we’re always looking for ways to improve the user interface.
Since it sounds like the original problem is resolved though I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
Cheers!
