MemberNo problem!
I’ll go ahead and close this topic, but of course please don’t hesitate to create new topics as needed if we can assist with anything else π

MemberOK – remember though that Events Calendar PRO has the ability to set coordinates if you do want to work around this (though I appreciate that may similarly consume too much time).
If you’re happy to remove that field, though, that’s great too π
Thanks again and enjoy July 4th.

MemberI’m not sure there are any suitable hooks for that – I’d recommend a template override (of the community/event-list.php template) for that kind of task.
If we can help with anything else, please do go ahead and create a fresh topic π
Thanks again!

MemberHi Kim,
And why would the events not show on the French page?
There are a number of compatibility issues with WPML – so if some of the problems occur only when that plugin is also activated, that may well be part of the problem (ie, a plugin conflict).
The translation for βView All Eventsβ still only half translates and itβs correct in the file.
The French translation that ships with the current release of The Events Calendar does not include this translation, though it has been translated over here:
translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/tribe-events-calendar/fr
Did you download the updated translations file from that site? What is the filename if so (you may need to rename it).
Barry
MemberIt looks like the version of The Events Calendar currently running at the URL you provided when you opened this topic is a couple of releases out of date: our documentation typically reflects the latest release, so I’d advise updating if you need to take advantage of these functions π

MemberHi Cindy,
Perhaps some of your addresses don’t have complete addresses and so it wasn’t possible to determine the actual location (which is handled by Google’s geolocation service).
For example, your new-york-ny venue only has a partial address and the map shows it as being near Coffeyville, Kansas. Similarly so for your woodland-hills-ca venue.
If I use Coffeyville in the near field, it does appear to work as expected, however. Perhaps you could revisit your venues, ensure the addresses are complete and valid or – if that’s not possible – manually specify the coordinates in the fields provided for that purpose in the venue editor?
Does that help?
Barry
MemberAh yes, good find!
You should certainly be able to use that (and it’s sister function, tribe_venue_upcoming_events(), too) although direct control over the number of posts they return is not too easy.
If you’re getting a fatal (undefined function) error when you try to use it, it may be that you are trying to access it too early in the lifetime of the request.
What action is your code running on, or where does your code live if it isn’t wrapped in an action call?
Barry
MemberThat’s odd; we’ll keep an eye out for further reports by other users.
Thanks again, Shiela π

MemberGreat, glad you’re all sorted.
I think that now you’ve disconnected and reconnected, the problem should be resolved (and, when next you need to update, doing so manually should not be required).
This was actually a problem relating to domain names with hyphens, which unfortunately will catch a few folks out – but shouldn’t be a problem in the future.

MemberHey Suleyka – just checking in here π
Did renaming the file help?

MemberHi Cindy!
It seems like something is stopping various things from working as expected on that bar … I’m wondering if your theme – or another plugin – might be getting in the way here/causing a conflict.
Would it be possible to run through our standard troubleshooting steps in case there is indeed a conflict?
Barry
MemberHi Patrick,
You are certainly welcome to help – and yes, we’d be delighted to offer a coupon if you contribute a substantial number of translations π
For the most part, the process is managed over here:
translations.theeventscalendar.com
If you find the line-by-line editing is too limiting and prefer to work on this locally using a tool like PoEdit, please feel free and simply share the resulting work by uploading the .po file via your own WP site/a service like Dropbox (and link to it here in the translations forum).
Thanks!

MemberHi @dchaney,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve hit up against difficulties.
Looking at your user account everything seems to be in order and on simulating a request coming from your domain (and with your license key) it again seems to work as I’d expect.
Can you confirm which domain you are using the plugin on when you see this issue? If you recently changed it, could I ask you to visit the license key management page, disconnect it and then try again?
Let me know how you get on!
Barry
MemberHi Donna,
I’m sorry to hear you have hit up against difficulties.
Is there any background you can provide that might relate to this issue (did you recently update our plugins, for instance)? Did any updates or settings changes occur right before this issue took place?
If you could also provide your system information (by private reply) that would be appreciated.
Thanks!
