    Thanks for clarifying, Paul.

We have the free version of Calendar running on the HRreview site.

OK, but you also are using WooCommerce Tickets there, too, right?

Generally we would ask that you purchase the appropriate number of personal licenses in such a case or a license that covers multiple domains πŸ™‚

The issue is on both sites and applies to the pro and free versions.

Fair enough – let’s move forward on that basis.

However, as before I cannot replicate and nor can my colleagues. Do you have a test site available? With only WooCommerce (which version are you using, incidentally?) plus The Events Calendar and nothing else – just a default, unmodified theme – can you see the same problem there?

Occasionally plugin or theme conflicts are compound in nature, so it may not be as straightforward as a problem caused by The Events Calendar by itself (in fact, right now, I strongly suspect it is not). Trying it out without anything else running but those components would be a good way to help determine this.

Thanks! Are you also able to test for any conflicts with your theme/other plugins (or else can you replicate this on a testing/staging site and perform the testing there)?

is there a way to bring back my super cache? Is it a big deal if I don’t keep it activated?

Caching is a complex subject and something like WP Super Cache supports a wide range of options.

Based on the lack of other similar reports I tend to think this issue is specific to your hosting environment and the particular caching configuration you had set up rather than being a general incompatibility issue, though I can’t be certain.

It isn’t necessarily a big deal to leave this deactivated, but of course if your site depends on caching for performance reasons it may be wise to experiment with getting it up and running safely (or using a different caching solution).

The Calendar and all sub pages attached to it seem to load somewhat slowly. Any suggestions?

That might be a consequence of disabling caching. Please do try enabling month view caching via Events → Settings → Display, though, and see if that helps.

I created a test event to try out the ticketing. So far so good! However, I would like to add a CHECKOUT button, either replacing or next to ADD TO CART. How can I do this?

All sorts of customizations are possible. Please read through our Themer’s Guide in the first instance and if you still need help let us know in a fresh support topic (we try hard to stick to one issue, question or problem per topic).

Do bear in mind that quite how far we can support customization work is typically pretty limited, but we can certainly do our best to guide you through basic setup questions πŸ™‚

Ah apologies, I missed your note explaining it is definitely a child theme issue. That being the case, what is in there to differentiate it from the parent theme?

Can you try selectively removing items to see what the problem might be?

    Hi BjΓΈrn-Tore,

I’m sorry you’ve hit up against difficulties.

I’d love to see a live example: can you link me to a single event page where there should be tickets, but they are missing? I did try visiting the URL you provided when you opened this topic, but was unable to locate any events.

I do also see that your child theme appears to contain some event-related customizations (ie, custom templates in a /tribe-events/ subdirectory): is this something you set up? What if you use the parent theme instead of the child theme, does the same thing still happen?

    Hi Paul,

Strangely enough it’s not a problem I can replicate.

Are you positive the link is with The Events Calendar/WooCommerce Tickets 3.11? Even with them enabled, are you unable to re-order by date by clicking on the relevant column header?

Let me know how you get on!

    Hi Dane,

With Events Calendar PRO, any of our widgets can also be deployed as a shortcode – so for instance you could use our [tribe_mini_calendar] on the page of your choosing.

Like everything in our plugin line-up this is fully customizable – so if you need more or less information than the widget displays by default, it’s completely possible to do this πŸ™‚

I hope that answers your question but let me know if I can help with anything else!

    Hi Damian,

Thanks for getting in touch πŸ™‚

    1. Question: With personal license is enought to have the same addon in both?

If you wish to maintain a dev/staging site you are welcome to do so and a personal license should suffice (though, you generally don’t need to add the license to the test site).

    2. Question: Community events is related to Pro version?

No, it’s not – but it does work well with Events Calendar PRO. However, all Community Events really requires is for our free, core plugin (The Events Calendar) to be installed and activated.

I hope that answers your questions but let me know if I can clarify anything else!

    Hi Doug,

Thanks for getting in touch πŸ™‚

Is there a way to add a form to submit community events through a widget?

We don’t provide a widget for this purpose, but you could certainly propose this as a further feature request (or even code it yourself, if you feel comfortable with the process for doing so):

Also, do we have to have these user submitted events append and rewrite the URL?

That’s an interesting question. Can you clarify what you’d prefer and what the problem with the existing approach is?

    Thanks!

I’m sorry you’ve hit some difficulties after updating, Brad.

Strangely I don’t see the same thing locally. When I visit your page it appears as if – for whatever reason – the scripts and information needed to manage photo view are absent from that page (even though the events themselves are present, it’s just that initially they are invisible).

Have you been able to try our standard troubleshooting steps here? Could you also paste your complete system information in a private reply? Though it looks like you did this when you opened the topic initially a lot of expected data is missing for some reason.

    Thanks!

    Hi Bill,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

In summary, any URL that leads to a valid ICS/iCal format feed can be used πŸ™‚

To take your Contra Costa County example, what you might do (exact steps will vary according to what browser/device you are using, but this should give you the basic idea) you would right click and copy the address of URL – then provide that to the importer.

So, yes, you’d paste that URL in even if it does look a little monstrous πŸ˜‰

And for events that are at google, how does one get to the URL to use, for instance This Google Calendar

You’d need to discover the iCal URL for that calendar. I can’t find it on the page you linked to, but Google’s own docs suggest it’s possible:

    support.google.com/calendar/answer/37103

    Does that help?

    Hi Murning,

Our ticketing addons would certainly allow you to create a number of tickets representing different timeslots (each with an inventory of just 1 unit).

If you then create a series of events representing each day that can be booked (ie, school days) you’d have a pretty good system to handle what you have described πŸ™‚

I hope that helps but let me know if you have any further questions!

    Hi @nicolapenacultural,

The actual “ticket box” is an iframe – that’s important to note here because it is actually rendered by eventbrite.com, even though it displays within your single event pages.

To configure what appears there I’d recommend running through the available settings on eventbrite.com (you might even talk to their support crew) – it’s actually not directly within our control.

Please note we try hard to stick to one issue per topic: can you re-post your second question in a fresh topic? Remember also that your Eventbrite license key seems to have expired – ordinarily we only offer support for valid license key holders πŸ™‚

    Hi Indra,

I’m afraid that – at this time – there is no such functionality bundled within our plugins.

You might be able to take advantage of WordPress’s own XML-based import/export tools, though – have you given that a try?
