MemberHi @soulofyoga – apologies, I think I missed your last message as we posted at the same time.
We of course don’t have an issue with you using the plugins on a staging/dev site, but you would either need to manually disconnect/reconnect as you switch it between domains or else perform a manual update in this sort of scenario.

MemberThat’s strange – especially as it looked from your system information as though you have a valid license key in place.
If you try to access updates via Dashboard → Updates is an update for Events Calendar PRO listed at that point? If not, downloading a fresh copy of our latest version and updating manually may be the best way to go.
@jasonhunterdesign: again, please create a new topic of your own! Posting in someone else’s topic only generates confusion and can stop us from effectively assisting the original poster.Barry
MemberHi Corrado,
I still waiting the response for my first question about why the preview mode is non available and I can see the event just when i really post it.
I see that George replied to you quite recently – just an hour or two ago by the looks of things – and I’m sure he’ll update you again as soon as he can.
Please do understand that we cannot guarantee same-day responses (even if we usually are able to accommodate that) and at periods of peak activity you may need to be a little more patient than normal π
Beside that I noted that the filter in admin area about event title and event location is not working and if i try to order des/asc event by location or by title are just a mess with no logical a-z z-a.
Just to clarify, are you describing a problem with Advanced Posts Manager here?

MemberHi!
I’m sorry you’ve hit up against difficulties. Strangely, I seem unable to replicate this locally.
I can’t find the submission page and I guess that is because you have deactivated Community Events – if so can you reactivate it (without publicly linking to it from anywhere on your site, so your users don’t click through and visit it) so I can take a look at the problem first hand?
Or, if it is already up and running, can you tell me the actual URL?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberAwesome, glad you found the answer π

MemberOne of the things that jumps out at me from your system information (thanks for sharing!) is the presence of Series Engine.
We’ve hit up against conflicts with this in the past, owing to the fact that it alters the system timezone setting during runtime. This can impact events in different ways – sometimes it may distort the information that is presented on the frontend/through ical feeds and similar, sometimes it actually means the date/time information is stored incorrectly in the database.
Would you be able to (temporarily) deactivate that plugin specifically, regenerate one of the impacted events and see if the issue is corrected at that point?

MemberCould you share your system information (for the new/destination site) and would it additionally be possible to be provided with HTTP authentication credentials?

Member…Correction, you now seem to be using the latest of The Events Calendar, but not of Events Calendar PRO? Are you still in the middle of updating?

MemberHi Jason: please post a fresh topic of your own – one of the team will be only too happy to help π
@soulofyoga: are you positive you updated/did you do this on the same site, ie http://soulofyoga.staging.wpengine.com/events/? When I looked just now there was every indication that you are still using the 3.9.3 versions of both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO.Unless there is some unusually aggressive caching in place (my recollection – though I could be wrong – is that caching would not be in place on a WP Engine staging site) I can’t think why that would be.
Can you confirm?
Barry
MemberHi Ron,
Only the Defaulttemplate shows me parts of the Main-Page of ec-pro. Its real ugly composition and
unfortunately the real excerpts/descriptions from single-event are not showing. So it works and shows all the information but the appearance leaves a litte to be desired – if so, how about giving it a go and trying to improve things with some custom styling?
Alternatively, are you able to approach the authors of Chirps and ask if they can help you avoid content being converted to excerpts? If they can give you some code for that, we can probably help you to apply it only to event pages using logic like this:
if ( tribe_is_event_query() ) { /* Code to avoid the excerpt issue */ }July 31, 2015 at 11:24 am in reply to: Weekly recurring events and list widget not working since update #992241Barry
MemberHi @soulofyoga,
Iβm really not happy with having to do the plugin conflict search every time thereβs an update on your end. There needs to be a way around this.
I definitely appreciate that – all I can say is please help us to help you by providing as much information as you can when you first open the topic.
In this case, for instance, the system information proved valuable and we could have quickly zeroed in on the issue earlier in the exchange without having to ask you to test for conflicts π
when you first go to the event calendar the recurring events are there. When you switch months they disappear.
I believe you are facing a bug that has actually been resolved in our most recent releases (it looks like you are still using 3.9.3). Can you update to our latest builds?
Barry
MemberIf Community Events was notably out of date that may indeed have caused the problem – hopefully updating it will fix this – but of course do let us know if it doesn’t π
I’ll close this topic as you have marked it as “resolved” – but feel free to open a new one when and if you require further support.
Thanks again!

MemberThanks for clarifying!
So you’re seeing this error on the new site? When and where does it occur exactly?
Barry
MemberHi Derek,
We don’t have any tools for this so it’s going to require a custom approach at this time.
I’m guessing you/they don’t want to move the event data across manually – but perhaps some code could be set up on this external site to read in event data either via The Events Calendar’s ical feeds or by some good old fashioned “screen scraping” (less ideal, but still viable).
Does that help at all? I’m afraid it’s not an area where we can go into too much depth, given that it is custom development territory.
Barry
MemberHi Charmaine,
Definitely!
Why not use our calendar widget (note that you can even embed it within a page/post – which is useful if you have a static frontpage – via the [tribe_mini_calendar] shortcode) – if you need to you can tell it to list only events in a specific category.
Would that work for you here?
