Hi Zoe, if you could send WordPress login credentials by email ([email protected] – mark the email subject for my attention and please include a link to this thread) I’ll be happy to take a look.
If you could also detail which events you can see on the admin side but cannot see on the calendar that would be great 🙂
Hi Sandro, anything is possible but this sort of customization is so bespoke I’m afraid we can’t really offer much support – you would need a really good understanding of both WordPress and PHP to implement this currently.
It may be that a future release of Community Events includes the ability for users to edit any published events they have already submitted, so that may fit your needs, however this is currently only a feature request and is still under consideration.
Of course if you do figure out something feel free to post back with your solution so others in the community can benefit, too!
Are you also running the latest versions of our plugins (2.0.9 for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO)?
If so and you still aren’t having any joy here I’d be happy to take a look. I would need an admin login and FTP access either for the site in question or a testing site where you can replicate the same problem.
- We can’t accept liability for anything that goes wrong! So if you want us to take a look and do some troubleshooting make a complete back-up first of all and be sure you know how to restore it
- Be aware that I will run through the same standard troubleshooting steps we have already detailed above (changing the theme, deactivating other plugins) and possibly also uploading fresh copies of Modern Tribe plugins and even one of the default themes, so there is going to be an amount of disruption

Hi Stephen – I believe the behaviour you are describing may be by design, otherwise a more complicated workflow would be necessary for moderation purposes.
(Please also note I’ve moved this across to the community forum. I’ll let one of my colleagues more familiar with that plugin take things from here though.)

Sorry for the time it took to get back to you with an update. However, though we definitely want to fix this it is highly unlikely it will be addressed until after our 3.0 release.
With that in mind, all I can suggest are the steps recommended by Jonah (see my previous post).

No problem – if I use this code http://pastebin.com/0YAsSvs1 (the only real change to your code is it echoes out titles of events) it runs without any problems.
I’m guessing you do have published events – so if you aren’t seeing anything then I can only guess that it is something to do with the context in which your code is running.
Are you testing this out in isolation or might various other queries be running before and after this one? Have you shut down other plugins / changed to a default theme for testing purposes?
