Ant
MemberI am based in the UK, bought the pro plugin and eventbrite plugin but it is pointless as I need to go in and change the currency to GBP£ after set up in my wordpress. Where do I change the default currency to be GBP£ not USD$ in my wordpress plugin?

MemberHello Ant, is your currency set up to GBP in your Eventbrite account? Just making sure. Can you also please link to your site for us?
Also, to be able to help, I will need you to confirm you’ve done the following:
1. Are you running the latest version of WordPress?
2. Are you running the latest versions of our plugins (2.0.8) and all our add-ons?Thanks!

ParticipantHi guys, I’m having exactly the same problem, I spoke to a lady from Eventbrite who told me that I needed to change the currency from $ to £ then future events would use the £ symbol as I need, I tried and it didn’t work.
I phoned them back and they created an event via the web which defaulted to the £ symbol as needed but not when I’m using this plugin which is a slight problem for me.I’m on WP version 3.4.2 & Events Calendar version 2.0.9
Any pointers would be appreciated cheers

MemberHi James – that’s interesting. This probably seems like a superfluous question but are you hitting eventbrite.co.uk here?

ParticipantHi guys the Eventbrite team tried it on both from what I understand, is there anything within the plugin I can change to use .co.uk as the preferred choice if this is the case, as the incorrect currency is going to be a right pain.

MemberHi James. I don’t actually think there is a means of specifying the currency via the Eventbrite API – ticket prices are expressed as numbers such as 10.00 and I presume the idea is that it defaults to whatever currency is default for your account.
However, I’m not an expert and what I will do is pose this question to one of our developers. Hang tight and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

MemberHi again James. So one of our devs suggests you could add a snippet to your theme’s functions.php file in order to switch to the .co.uk URL. Please see:
It would be great to hear back if this resolves the issue or if further action is still required.
