New user role who can add and remove his/her events?

Is there a way to make a new user role, that will be able to add and edit Only events and edit only his events?

Hi Sandro, anything is possible but this sort of customization is so bespoke I’m afraid we can’t really offer much support – you would need a really good understanding of both WordPress and PHP to implement this currently.

It may be that a future release of Community Events includes the ability for users to edit any published events they have already submitted, so that may fit your needs, however this is currently only a feature request and is still under consideration.

Of course if you do figure out something feel free to post back with your solution so others in the community can benefit, too!

I decided to go the easy way. Use wordpress built in role “contributor” limit it further not to be able to do anything but add events.

But, on my wp installation contributor cannot add events at all. Is this correct behaviour?

No – a contributor should be able to submit new events for review. If you are experiencing something other than this could you roll back your changes (and at that point create a new contributor user to test) and let me know how you get on?

I created new user contributor and still he cannot add events, he can do everything add articles/posts etc. but I don’t see events link anywhere!

Is it possible the changes you put in place to limit contributors are still in effect?
