MemberYou might be interested in the tribe_get_start_date() function for this.
Barry
MemberNo problem 🙂

MemberHi again Chris. I just tested this out and although the ticket form has lost some of its styling it still appears to function: can you confirm if you are experiencing something else?
Barry
MemberHi Chris, it’s not something I was aware of but will draw to the attention of the dev team – thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Aaron – I’ll check in with the assigned dev and get back to you.
Barry
MemberHi Tim. Can you take a look at the following (WordPress) setting:
Settings > General > Anyone Can Register
What is it set to?
Barry
MemberThanks for posting the link. For those who are interested there is some code that fetches the name of ticket purchasers (in the context of the single event template) in this thread which could be adapted for other uses.
Barry – thanks for the response. I feel for you, this after all is a ‘ticketing’ rather than ‘event management’ solution…
Exactly so. Though the direction the plugin takes will naturally adapt itself to the feedback of our customers, within reasonable bounds anyway, it isn’t intended to be a comprehensive event management tool.
Cheers,

MemberHi Lauren,
There are no known issues I’m aware of.
It’s simply a very difficult question to answer with a ton of variables. How many visitors/sec will you have at peak time … what server resources are available and how is your server configured (what server is it? Apache, nginx?) … are visitors likely to carry out actions that might be more resource intensive than normal … will query caching (and other caching layers) be implemented … we just can’t give an answer, I’m afraid.
I totally appreciate you want to go into this with your eyes open, but all I can suggest is either giving it a go (and having a strategy in place to scale out) or setting up a duplicate site and subjecting it to a battery of tests to see how it performs.
I know that isn’t a direct answer to your question but it’s the best I can do I’m afraid 🙂

MemberOK, can you reactivate those plugins one-at-a-time? It might be that only one is causing the conflict that stops the events from showing.
Barry
MemberIs the original problem – only two events in the calendar – still a problem when those plugins are deactivated?
If that solves the problem then I’m sure we can tidy up the layout of the pages quite easily.

Member(And thank you for running through those steps. I appreciate you wouldn’t want to keep the site in that state.)
It would be really useful to learn more about your hosting environment, if you aren’t adverse to sharing this information could you point us to the hosting company/package you are using.
If you are happy to share this information but would rather not do so publicly, please email me at [email protected] instead, marking your email for my attention.
Barry
MemberYep, I noticed that and am discussing it with the team right now. Please do bear with me and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can (which may be Monday of next week, at this point).

MemberHi Eugen,
I appreciate that you are frustrated but there unfortunately are not too many other tools at our disposal short of directly accessing and debugging your site, which we prefer not to do for a number of reasons.
Although it can be inconvenient to run through these steps it shouldn’t take too long and can quickly identify another plugin/theme code that is causing a problem. Once we have that information we can then investigate solutions.
I did follow the steps and the events showed up, but so…?
Great, so now we know that our plugins are functional within your hosting environment and that suggests there is indeed a conflict.
Can I ask you to complete the steps and reactivate everything one-at-a-time until the problem returns (possibly it may not return) … remembering to take note of whatever component – either a plugin or your theme – you reactivated last when the issue resurfaced.
We can then look at that element and see what we can do to help 🙂

MemberHi Heather, that’s a shame. I’ve replied to your email and have copied in my colleague Leah who will probably take things from here.
Thanks again for your patience while we looked into this.
Barry
MemberHi Andrew,
If you unpack that .zip (and then unpack it again) you’ll basically see that there are three plugins that we sent to you – the idea would be to deactivate and delete the original plugins and upload and activate these new ones.
If that didn’t work then a further step could be to rebuild the site from scratch (in the staging area of course) using these new versions, just in case existing database entries are tainted in some way.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have further questions.
