    Hi,

    Those 2 settings handle / do the following:

    Clean up recurring events after 1 month

    When you set up a recurring event, as time passes, the occurrences that happened more than a month ago will be (should be automatically) removed from your calendar.

    Example: You have a recurring event starting January 1, 2018 and happens weekly every Monday.

    Based on the above settings all events that happened before March 17, 2018 (30 days before today, April 16) will be removed from the calendar.

    Create recurring events in advance for 2 months

    When you set up a recurring event that ends far in the future, then only the occurrences in the coming 2 months are created, and as time passes, the new ones in the future, but still within 2 months of the actual date will be (should be automatically) created.

    Example of the same event, starting Jan 1, 2018, weekly every Monday, going until December 31, 2018.

    As time passes you will always see this weekly event happening 2 months (60 days) into the future. So as of today you should see them created until (approx.) June 18.

    Next week another instance on June 25 will be (should be) added.

    I hope this clarifies the settings and its workings.

    Let me know if you have more questions regarding this, or if you feel that the settings do not work properly.

    Thanks,
    Andras

    Hi Neill,

    No, unfortunately I don’t know any. I have not dealt with any CRMs lately.

    There is a WordPress plugin called Pardot which connects SalesForce to WordPress. However at the moment there is no direct integration / connection between Pardot – on any other CRM – and The Events Calendar.

    Is there anything else I can help you with before closing this as resolved?

    Hi cevans,

    Unfortunately importing recurring events is not possible, neither from CSV, nor from any other source.

    To be exact, from other sources you can import recurring events, but they will be imported and single events, not as a series.

    Sorry.

    Cheers,

    Hey Jerrad,

    This looks like a duplicate of this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/list-past-events-from-new-to-old/

    I’m going to close this to avoid confusion and to keep things clean. Someone from the support team will get in touch with you in the other thread as soon as possible.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

    I checked your site and this looks like it’s a theme issue. After creating a backup of your site, please do a test, change to a default theme like twentyseventeen or twentysixteen, deactivate any theme related plugins, and check if the issue still exists. If not, then the issue likely comes from your theme.

    If that doesn’t solve it then please go through our conflict testing guide and see if that brings anything to surface.

    Also I opened the console in the browser (F12 or Ctrl + Shift + I) and it shows an error on the page. (screenshot) Fixing that might also help. I believe the syntax error is this one: https://cloudup.com/ccn3dnXPhyN

    It’s a <script> tag but there is css ‘<style>’ in it.

    Let me know what you find.

    Cheers,

    Hi Ian,

    That should be possible with some css tweaking. If you can share with me a url where this is visible I can try to help you out.

    Or the other option is to create a template override and remove the description column altogether.

    Let me know.

    Hello Ruta,

    Thanks for reaching out and I’m sorry to hear about your issue with the recurring events not being generated.

    There can be several things at play here.

    There is a setting under Events > Settings > General tab > Create recurring events in advance for X months.

    Whatever you set there, that many months in the future you event will be created, if the recurrence rules warrant it (i.e. repeat never ending).

    The other thing at play here is the WordPress cron – a task that should run automatically every once in a while. Also something is needed to trigger the cron, usually a visit to the website. If there are no visits, then the cron is not triggered.

    Events Calendar PRO has a cron that runs every day and takes care of generating the recurring events into the future and deletes the ones in the past (both based on the settings).

    Something might have interfered with this cron job and it’s not running. You should be able to check this via installing a cron manager plugin. The cron responsible for this is called ‘tribe-recurrence-cron’.

    Let me know what you find and I’ll try to help you further.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hey dobie,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I checked, the Japanese translation for Event Tickets is only 36% done. We need to rely on our community and users like yourself to get our plugins translated, and any help is much appreciated.

    In this article you can find further information on how you can translate our plugins:

    is there a way to customize the layout

    Yes, it is possible to customize the layout with template overrides. You can read more about that in out Themer’s Guide – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    It will require some knowledge in HTML, CSS and PHP.

    and adding new fields?

    Event Tickets Plus can provide you with additional fields, through which you can collect extra information from your attendees.

    in the event calendar screen, it shows no of customers already sign in RSVP. I don’t need this in the front end for customers, but only show in the back end for the admin.

    There is a setting for this. You can select whether to hide or show the attendees on the front end. Open up the event for editing and go to the tickets section. There click on settings and you will see this: https://cloudup.com/cj3DvhJrdxV

    Uncheck the “Show attendees …” box, save the settings and you should be done.

    Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello emaginemedia,

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to our Help Desk!

    I’m not sure I fully understand what you would like to achieve.

    If you create an event and you add a ticket (or more) to it, then the list of tickets will show up on the events page automatically.

    You also need to be aware that if you have set up a start and end sale date, then the ticket will not show up outside those dates. These dates for the tickets (In the advanced section) control the general availability for the tickets.

    If you want to have a promotional period with lower prices, you need to set that up on the WooCommerce product page.

    If this is not the issue you are having, then please give some more details. Screenshots and screen recordings can also be very helpful.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hey Neill,

    The answer is the same to both of your questions. πŸ™‚

    When you are looking at the list of you events on the back-end then hover over the event in question. Quick links will appear below the title. (screenshot) Click on the one that says ‘Attendees’ which will take you to a page where you’ll be able to see the users who bought tickets for that event. Also there you should be able to see the extra attendee data submitted.

    Let me know if you need anything else.

    Hi Marianne,

    Thanks for your question.

    The recurrence description is not saved like that as a metadata.

    It is saved as a serialized data, which looks like something like this:

    {
        "rules": [
            {
                "type": "Custom",
                "custom": {
                    "interval": "1",
                    "same-time": "yes",
                    "type": "Daily"
                },
                "end-type": "After",
                "end-count": "3",
                "EventStartDate": "2018-04-13 08:00:00",
                "EventEndDate": "2018-04-13 17:00:00"
            }
        ],
        "exclusions": [],
        "description": null
    }

    And the description is generated based on that on the fly with javaScript (and probably some black magic).

    I’m sorry I cannot be more helpful on this one. Let me know if you have any further questions on this.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi,

    At the moment Event Aggregator can import from the following sources:

    • Facebook
    • Meeutup
    • Google Calendar
    • iCalendar / ical / webcal feed
    • ICS file (needs to
    • Other WordPress sites running The Events Calendar

    If your database / source can provide any of these, then we can check what can be done.

    If not, then I’m afraid Event Aggregator will not be of any use to you. πŸ™

    Happy to hear the google calendar import works. Awesome!

    Thanks for sharing the url.

    I just ran a test import and it imported 84 events to my site without issue.

    webcal://prmrocks.org/?plugin=all-in-one-event-calendar&controller=ai1ec_exporter_controller&action=export_events&no_html=true

    First I encountered some errors, but there were extra spaces in the url. Once I removed those all went well. Here’s a screenshot of the end result: https://cloudup.com/cWsZHuOcuVV

    Can you please try again? If you get any error message, let me know. We’ll get this working.

    Cheers,
    Andras
