KeymasterHello Kim,
As talked in your other thread I refunded you the duplicate purchase. The sum should arrive to your account in a couple of days.
To keep things clean and tidy here I’m going to close this thread. We can continue with your further questions in the other one.
Cheers,

KeymasterHey Rick,
Thanks for reaching out!
I totally understand her concerns. Let me try to help you figure this one out.
Before we start digging deeper into the issue, I see in your system information that your Event Tickets Plus plugin is somewhat outdated. It would be great if you could get that one updated to the most recent version, as well as the others.
If there is a big gap between versions of our plugins, like ET and ET+ in your case, that can lead to glitches of this kind.
Once you updated and the issue still exists, then please go through our conflict testing guide and let me know about your findings. We can then dig deeper if still needed.
Cheers,

KeymasterHello Rusty,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’m sorry about the confusion. Let me help you with this.
I just refunded your double purchase, you should get the amount back on your account in a couple of days.
To install the plugin the easiest is:
- download the plugin from your downloads page. It’s going to be a zip file.
- go to the backend of your site, Plugins > Add new > Upload
- select the file you just downloaded and upload it. It will automatically install the plugin
- Go to the Plugins page and activate Events Calendar Pro
- Done
The manual way is:
- download the plugin from your downloads page.
- unzip it to a folder on your pc
- log in to your server with an ftp software
- upload the unzipped ‘events-calendar-pro’ folder to your server under ‘wp-content/plugins’
So the end folder will be ‘wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro’ - sign in to the backend of your website
- go to Plugins and activate Events Calendar Pro
- Done
Let me know if you need further help with this.
Cheers,
AndrasAndras
KeymasterCiao Roberto,
Thanks for reaching out!
That feature is not a part of our plugins.
You can try to look for a plugin that can do the notifications for you.
With a quick search I found this one, which could do it, but I haven’t tested it yet.
And there might be others like this, you will need to look around a bit.
Hope this helps!
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Cheers,

KeymasterHello there,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m so sorry about this issue. I will do my best to help you resolve this as quickly as possible.
I have checked your system information and I see that some of the calendar plugins are older versions. Please check and update all of them to the latest. These would be:
- The Events Calendar 4.6.2 (you are 4.6.1)
- Events Calendar PRO 4.4.18 (you are 4.4.6 !!!)
- Event Tickets 4.5.7 (you are 4.5.6)
- Event Tickets Plus 4.5.6 (you are 4.4.2 !!!)
Creating a backup before updating is recommended in all cases.
Once updated check if you are still getting the error, and let me know.
Cheers,

KeymasterHello Rob,
Thanks for reaching out and considering our plugins for your project!
Our plugins can partially do what you would require.
Community Events can be used to enable the professionals to post their online courses.
However, at the moment we don’t have an integrated payment gateway in our plugins. When selling tickets with Event Tickets Plus, we need to rely on WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads.
The events which are entered into the calendar show up by event start date normally. This can be influenced, however if you would like to have a solution what you outlined you might need custom development, depending on the granularity you need.
Events can be marked as ‘Featured Events’, so that could be one distinguishing factor. If you need more than that and you would like to be able to order the events as per your needs, you will definitely need to do some custom development.
I hope this explains at least a bit. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Cheers,
AndrasAndras
KeymasterHello Patrick,
Thank you for reaching out to us and I’d be happy to help you with your questions.
If you would like to start development today and you are super pressed on time then probably the best approach would be purchasing the plugins to get you started. Once your application is approved you can submit a refund request and we will happily process that for you.
If you already submitted your application, then I can check the status and can try to put in a good word for you. 🙂
I would like to make one note, that with the non-profit licenses you will be eligible for plugin updates, however, premium support is not provided with them.
In case you would like to have premium support that it would make sense to purchase a license.
And another note, looking at the products you are planning to use, it might make sense to get the Importer Bundle (includes PRO, Filter Bar and Event Aggregator) and a Community Events plugin.
I hope this helps you move forward! Let me know if you have any further questions, I’d be happy to answer them.
Best,

KeymasterTwo more things that came to my mind.
The German language file is usually included in the installation of The Events Calendar. I have just tested switching my site to German and “/monat” worked without me uploading any new language file.
If you have some kind of caching that might influence things. So try disabling any caching plugin or mechanism that you have and try like that.
Also there is a month view caching setting in TEC under Events > Settings > Display tab. Turn that off and check if it makes a difference.
Looking forward to hearing the results!

KeymasterGrüss dich Patrick
Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums! I’m sorry to hear about your issues with the language file, let me try to help you with this.
I have couple of questions so that I get a better picture of your setup and to make sure everything is right.
- Did you rename the language file to the-events-calendar-de_DE.po?
- Did you also create the .mo file and upload it to your server?
- In which folder did you upload the language files?
- If you remove the language files do the urls work in German?
- Try re-saving your permalinks and try if that helps. (Settings > Permalinks)
Until you answer those I will also do some investigation on my side.

KeymasterThanks for reporting back!
Wow, that sounds like a major cleanup. I do hope it will help.
Nonetheless I stay at your disposal if you would need further assistance, and I’m looking forward to hear about your progress.
One note I’d like to make, if there is no movement in the thread for 3 weeks, then it will be automatically closed. If this should ever happen and you still need help, then simply open a new thread and reference this one. Me or one of my colleagues will pick it up and help you out.

AndrasOctober 19, 2017 at 4:54 am in reply to: Google Calendar ICS Scheduled Imports Hung on "Import Pending" #1365843Andras
KeymasterHey Justin,
No, I haven’t tried a real cron yet. Based on talks with a developer a real cron should work better than the wp-cron.
Some more information that might be useful in this case:
When a scheduled import runs, the status of the import will be ‘Pending’ until the last event from that source is fetched.
The 5 minute cron will basically ping the EA server every 5 minutes to ask about the status. If not all events are imported yet and transferred to your site, then it will stay pending. But your daily (or hourly) import schedule will not be affected by this. If an import is scheduled for hourly, then the 5 minute cron does not change that, a new import request will still be sent only every hour. And that is good so.
If a new schedule of the same feed starts before the previous finishes, then the previous one will never finish and will be stuck in ‘Pending’ status. (We will be looking into how to remedy this.) This happens if there are too many events in the feed. What you can do in this case is to decrease the schedule time of the import.
Also what might help is increasing the frequency of your ‘real’ cron from 5 minutes to fire a bit more often and see if that help.
On the feeds that are pending for long: there is a garbage collection routine implemented and pending imports that are older than 4 hours or so are purged, a couple of them at a time.
Also what can happen is that the feed gets a timeout. If you are requesting for example a Facebook feed too often, then Facebook might reply that ‘Sorry dude, now you need to wait a bit’. This is beyond our control.
If I remember correctly than you have a lot of feeds that you are importing. That can also influence things.
One other factor is the hosting resources.
What I would recommend for now is – and you can choose if you try all at once or add them one-by-one:
- Set the import schedule times to less frequent. If they are on hourly, then set them to daily. This can result in the imports finishing before a new scheduled import is fired.
- Increase the frequency of your cron from 5 minutes to 1-2 minutes.
- Set up a low import limit under Events > Settings > Imports tab > Global Import Settings section
- Optionally set most of the feeds to ‘On demand’ import and leave only 1-2 on schedule to see if that changes anything.
I’m sorry that this is taking so long to resolve. There are too many influencing factors which makes is a very complex issue. Nonetheless we’re here to help you get this fixed.
Looking forward to hearing the results.

KeymasterHello Courtney,
No worries about the slow response. Some things take more time than usual or expected. 🙂
she is NOT receiving those emails
I have 3 notes to add to this:
- Probably you / she did, but please check your spam folder as well. We do our best so that our emails don’t end up there, but unfortunately that happens.
- If she’s using a corporate email you can possibly check this with the IT department there. Can happen that the corporate email spam filter throws it away.
- When testing it is a good idea to add another email address to the below list, yours or an external gmail or whatever email address to see whether the email reaches there. This can help pinpoint whether the issue is on the WordPress site (not sending emails) or on the receiver side (spam filter).
get_option( 'admin_email' ), // the site admin email, probably do not want to edit this line '[email protected]', // edit or delete this line '[email protected]', // edit or delete this line, and even add another if you want );Once I install one of those, should we expect notifications to work or do I need to try using that .php snippet
By default out plugin only send admin notification emails to the website admin’s email address that is set up on your dashboard under Settings > General.
If you would like other addresses to get the emails as well, you will need to use that snippet.
is there a way to get the £ in front of the amount rather than after?
Absolutely, there is a setting under Events > Settings > General tab > Currency symbol follows valuescreenshot. Looks like on this . Probably that checkbox is checked. Remove it, save and you should be set. If that doesn’t do it, then also adjust your settings under WooCommerce > Settings > General tab > Currency options.
when she views her Events dashboard from the WordPress dashboard, the columns get really narrow and push all the text into narrow columns
I totally know where you’re / she’s coming from. I can recommend 2 solutions for this.
1) At the top right of the screen you should see a button labeled ‘Screen Options’. If you open that you can select which columns you would like to see or hide. Here is a screenshot of that.
This is a per-user setting, so every user needs to set this up for themselves.
2) You can download and use our Advanced Post Manager (APM) plugin which does the above settings and nice filtering options as well.
I hope these help! Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

KeymasterHey Matthias,
Just wanted to give you an update on this.
The issue received high priority and a developer has been assigned to it. So if all goes according to plan a fix for this will be published in the next maintenance release. Hang in there, we’re working on this.
Cheers,
