ParticipantI’ve installed the stable german language file wp-plugins-the-events-calendar-stable-de.po and now views like month week and so on arent working anymore.
if you go to the overview of the events
http://buddies.webspac.es/events/ and click for example on month view it tries to open the page http://buddies.webspac.es/events/monat/ with “monat” being german for “month” – but the page doesnt exist, the page is still available under the english name http://buddies.webspac.es/events/month/ – is this a problem with the language files?October 19, 2017 at 10:21 am #1366088Andras
KeymasterGrüss dich Patrick
Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums! I’m sorry to hear about your issues with the language file, let me try to help you with this.
I have couple of questions so that I get a better picture of your setup and to make sure everything is right.
- Did you rename the language file to the-events-calendar-de_DE.po?
- Did you also create the .mo file and upload it to your server?
- In which folder did you upload the language files?
- If you remove the language files do the urls work in German?
- Try re-saving your permalinks and try if that helps. (Settings > Permalinks)
Until you answer those I will also do some investigation on my side.
Grüsse

KeymasterTwo more things that came to my mind.
The German language file is usually included in the installation of The Events Calendar. I have just tested switching my site to German and “/monat” worked without me uploading any new language file.
If you have some kind of caching that might influence things. So try disabling any caching plugin or mechanism that you have and try like that.
Also there is a month view caching setting in TEC under Events > Settings > Display tab. Turn that off and check if it makes a difference.
Looking forward to hearing the results!
Cheers,

ParticipantI forgot why I installed this additional language file but I already deleted it.
So i’ve now deleted the events calendar and pro german language files that are in the lang folder under the plugin folders and now its working.
if I upload these files again it stops working because the links change to “monat” instead of month but the pages arent there at these urls.
I uploaded the language files in question.
I dont have any caching plugins and the week view caching has also been disabled the whole time.

KeymasterHi Patrick,
I testes your files and for me all works just fine with these files, too, and also if I don’t put anything into the wp-content/languages/plugins folder.
Please give me some time to investigate a bit further.
