KeymasterHi Kerry!
You can take a look at our Demo Site to see our various plugins in action. All of our plugins use a templating system that makes it easy to create and use custom templates to get the look you are wanting on your site. You can read more about customization in our Themer’s Guide.
In the settings, you can disable the plugin provided styles, and use default theme styles or custom styles instead.
Our base plugin, The Events Calendar is free and available in the WordPress plugins directory. All of our premium plugins have a 30 day refund period, so feel free to try them out before deciding if they meet your needs.
For selling tickets with Events Tickets Plus, you can use either WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, or Tribe Commerce and PayPal. Be aware however that Events Tickets Plus does not currently support tickets for recurring events.
To see more sites using our plugins, check out our site showcase.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Jan!
It’s hard to say one way or another if the Events Calendar will fit your particular needs without knowing all the details. However, I will try to answer your more specific questions.
With the Events Calendar, you can assign categories and tags to each event. With Events Calendar Pro, you can use a shortcode to add multiple calendars to pages or posts throughout your site. The shortcode allows you to specify a particular tag or category to display. So, if you assigned a unique tag or category to each house, you would be able to display events specific to the house.
Using our Filter Bar plugin, you can allow people to filter by these categories and tags, or, custom fields that you create. So you could add a “houses” filter that let people choose events connected with it in that way too. To show a list of all the houses would require creating a custom template, but it could be done.
I do not know of anything like what you describe with duration of dates. You can search events by day, week, or month, but that does not sound like it will meet your needs for that aspect.
The calendars do have a link for exporting the events in an ical format. You can read about this functionality here.
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions. All of our premium plugins have a 30 day refund policy, so feel free to try the plugins out to see if you can get the outcome you are looking for.

KeymasterDid you mean to post a screenshot? Can you share what the error message was?

KeymasterHi Ron,
Can you test to see if this is something being caused by your theme or a plugin? Try temporarily disabling all other plugins, and switch to the Twenty Seventeen theme. Does it display properly then?
I just tried this out on my test environment, and it seem to be working as expected for me.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterHi Marilyn,
The other issue could not be resolved on our end, as it seems to be an issue with the theme. There’s not much I can do to troubleshoot from the theme’s end. Something is preventing the click event from registering in javascript.
Can you test to see if this is still an issue when the Twenty Seventeen theme is enabled?
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Garnetta!
Did you try the snippet that was provided in that other thread?
You just need to replace the terms with the categories or tags that you want to exclude.
Then create a calendar using the tribe_events shortcode for the category where you want it to display.
Does this help? Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
SkySky
KeymasterLeon,
OK, I logged in and took a look. I am still seeing the multiple venue settings on your existing events. I am also still seeing the square icons next to the settings which are not something present in TEC by default. However, when I create a new event, none of this shows up. So, something has corrupted these events when they were created. I tried removing a venue and saving, but this did not fix it.
I am concerned about that third party plugin I mentioned. Since it links to a malware site, it is possible that the plugin itself may not be safe, or may be of low quality. I would see if you can get by without it, and delete it completely from your system.
So, my recommendation would be to recreate the events without whatever plugin or theme is causing this issue. I can’t test all of the other plugins that you have installed, but I would try to figure out what is adding this functionality and icons.
I hope that helps.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Michael,
When I import the facebook events, I see 14 events in the import. Most of them are recurring, and have multiple instances, on separate dates. After import, I see that 14 events have been imported. If I try to re-import the facebook feed, it creates no new events.
Can you try this import with the default Twenty Seventeen theme enabled, and all other plugins than TEC and TEC Pro disabled, and see if you get a different result?
Thanks,
SkySky

KeymasterLeon,
Having multiple venues is only possible with customization. There are snippets for this out there, but they would need to be added via a plugin, or in your theme’s functions.php.
Is it possible that you are not disabling all of your plugins? I’m wondering in particular about the “The Events Calendar: Frontend Submission” plugin. Going to the website for that plugin takes one to a malware site. This plugin is not one of ours, and should be disabled during testing.
I see no other reports of this behavior and am unable to replicate it in my testing environment.
Is this a live production site? Or is this a staging site? If the latter, I would be willing to make an exception and log in to verify the behavior. Otherwise, I would request again another screenshot of the event admin page with everything disabled. I would like to verify that the differences in the UI from your other screenshots are indeed gone.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Greg,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having problems with this. Since the original issues have been fixed and this post has been marked as “resolved,” can you please create a new post in the forum with the other ticketing issue?
Thanks,
SkySky

KeymasterMichael,
Thanks for providing those links. I will have a look and try to recreate this, and get back to you as soon as possible.

KeymasterLeon,
Unfortunately it is against our terms of service to accept any login credentials to your site. In the admin screenshot you have provided, I can see that there are still other plugins enabled. The icons next to the ‘venue’ and ‘organizer’ section are not something that the Events Calendar has by default.
The Events Calendar only provides support for a single Venue for an Event, so I’m not sure why there are two sets of fields for this in your screenshot.
Here is a screenshot of what the interface should look like:
But I am guessing that the the reason your venues aren’t showing is because the value is being saved in that first, empty field for the venue.
I would start with just the Events Calendar and Twenty Seventeen theme, and make sure to configure and save the event while in this state. Just switching everything off will not change what is saved in the database for the event until you re-save it. Then enable other plugins or your theme one at a time until you see that additional Venue field show up to figure out what is causing this issue.
If you do all of this and still see the problem, I would re-download and replace all of the Events Calendar plugins to make sure they have not been somehow corrupted.
Hope this helps,
