ParticipantHi Nico,
Thank you for getting back to me. I’ll check out the chron job article. Thanks!About the csv file, when I look at a media file, it’s just a file sitting on the server at /wp-content/uploads/2016/10/ so it’s easy for me to upload a file to overwrite with a simple batch file, so yes, that’s no problem. Just tested.
What’s the next step?

ParticipantThanks for the note and I hope it helps others. However, I have already updated.
My issue is that I believe my plugin was updated to 4.3.1 AUTOMATICALLY (since I did not update, and I do not have auto update on). Any ideas on why that would happen?

ParticipantI want to select CSV and do a recurring import from a URL.
Rodrigo Torres
ParticipantYes, that’s my story.
I’m bummed because I signed up for the beta and then emails went to my spam and I totally missed being involved!Oh, that’s my whole reason for buying aggregator was to automate the csv import. The csv can live anywhere, doesn’t have to be on my computer. In my current solution I simply update a file on the webserver with an automated ftp script. If Aggregator can pull from web sources for other types of imports I don’t understand why it can’t pull a csv file from the same server where the plugin is installed.

ParticipantHi Nico,
I don’t see where I set an import as recurring. Can you specify where I would see that?
Thanks!

ParticipantI couldn’t find the Filter Bar 4.3 update when I posted, but it’s there now! Either it was posted, or I somehow missed it earlier. Thanks!

ParticipantHi Andras,
Thank you for discussing with your colleagues. I really appreciate that!
I will try the Filter Bar and see if that works better.
For my own reference, I am linking to my other location based issues here:

ParticipantGood morning Geoff,
Thank you for looking into this.
1. Venue import doesn’t seem to have latitude and longitude if you don’t have PRO installed, so if you go from having the free version, learn about importing, check fields, then update to PRO, there are two fields you are missing.
The issue here is documentation. Import fields don’t seem to be documented anywhere except in the dropdown itself (so I had to use a screenshot to get a list). Since new fields on adding the plugin wasn’t documented, I wasn’t expecting them (yes, they make sense).
2. When I import a venue, (without importing the latitude and longitude), the latitude and longitude show up atomagically (nice!) when I click “Use latitude + longitude” checkbox. I’m assuming that the import is getting that from Google Maps during import. However, for some reason, the checkbox is not checked.
I will upload files and sys info on my next, private, reply.
3. If the “Use latitude + longitude” checkbox is not checked by design (even after those fields are automatically populated), then there should be an import field to populate the “Use latitude + longitude” field.
Yes, it makes sense this would only be with Pro.
4. Sometimes I get the dropdown suggestions on the location search field when I enter a value there and sometimes I don’t (same data) so I’d like to figure out what is happening there.
This is probably an issue with Genesis. I have not tested with simple theme and plugins disabled because my developer doesn’t know if turning off/turning on will cause any long term problems.
5. It would be useful if there was a troubleshooting guide specifically for getting location working.
One of the reasons I suggested this is the number of forum posts on “location search not working”
Location search not working and status code: OVER_QUERY_LIMIT
There seem to be several moving pieces here, besides the theme/plugin conflicts, and I had to mine the posts above to find the following:
Check your WordPress installation’s timezone setting (via the General Settings admin screen).
Go to WP Admin > Events > Settings > Display, and try changing the Events Template drop down to a different setting then clicking save.
Search only shows upcoming events.
Make sure its “Use Latitude + Longitude” option is checked,
Use your own Google JavaScript API Key and check for Google errors.
And finally, this plugin for testing.

Is that plugin still usable?Best regards,

ParticipantThanks! I will share system info privately. In the meantime, here are screenshots of the problem.

ParticipantGood to know it should work. It’s not working for me though. It must be related to the troubles I’m having getting location working.

ParticipantThank you!

ParticipantThanks! I still am not clear on how I would know which post ids to use with wp_delete_post or which event metadata to delete.
Also not clear on performance issues. Can you say more? I would think that the less rows in the db the faster the performance which would argue for deleting past events all together once they are no longer needed.
