ParticipantHi, I just upgraded to Events Pro and the location search doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve deactivated all plugins except the events calendar and events calendar pro and switched to 2011 theme. Nothing seems to be changing. Although I admit I am not too familiar with how it works, so I may be missing something. Some of the events have pretend locations, but many of them have real ones.

ParticipantMaybe it is working. I search for “Hamilton, New Jersey” and “Hamilton Township, New Jersey” is in the drop down. But, when I search “NYC” nothing is in the drop down. I guess I was expecting those things to come up as you type. Is this how the feature works. Maybe if you explain exactly how it is supposed to be working, I can better determine if it is really working. Thanks for your help.

MemberHi there, Johanna! Thanks for getting in touch. 🙂
I think the location search is properly working in this case. The search will suggest locations as long as it recognizes something enough to provide a suggestion. That’s why it was able to suggest “Hamilton Township, New Jersey” when “Hamilton, New Jersey” is searched. The reason “NYC” is not pulling up suggestions is that it is an abbreviation the search suggest does not recognize. However, if you search “New York” or simply “NY” then it has something it can recognize and work with.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantHi, I’m having the same problem. I’m subscribed to Events Calendar, PRO, Filter Bar, and Community Events and I’ve noticed in testing the site that no matter what I enter, all events generate in the search results..
