    Hello!!

I have a problem… search bar is not working properly for me. (the search bar, filter dates and search of locations). Neither works.

The console shows me many java errors. I dont know what could be happening :S

You can check it here: http://teatrokamikaze.com/calendario/2016-08/

    Thanks for the support.

Sorry to hear about this, Enrique!

I took a look at your site, and there were indeed some JavaScript errors, though I could not identify the source of all of them.

To help with these issues, I would recommend the following steps:

    1. Update your site’s version of The Events Calendar so that instead of version 4.2.1 it is running version 4.2.2

    2. Update your site’s version of Events Calendar Pro so that instead of version 4.2.1 it is running version 4.2.2.1

    3. If issues persist, deactivate ALL plugins on your site except for ONLY The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro. Then have a look at the search bar again—does anything improve?

    4. If things do not improve in step #3, then leave all plugins deactivated except for ONLY The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro. Then, activate a default theme like Twenty Sixteen or Twenty Twelve, then have a look at the search bar again—does anything improve?

Let us know what you find by doing all of these steps!

    Thank you,
    George

    Hi George,

I have tried disabling all plugins except The events calendar and The events calendar Pro. Directly nothing works, is all white. Activating a couple of plugins needed for the correctly work of theme, the problem persists.

I have also tried activating Twenty Sixteen theme and the filter works correctly. So the problem is between the plugin and theme.

I have written to the theme support and am waiting for a reply, but I wonder if you on your part could you help me too. Could you identify the conflict? What can you do to this conflict that is in your hand?

    Thanks for the support.

    Hey Enrique,

Thanks for looking into those troubleshooting steps. I am surely happy to try and help with continuing to identify the problems. To help with that, can you post your site’s System Information again? I know you posted it once already; but part of the steps I recommended involved upgrading the plugin versions, and I’m just curious how the version numbers are now.

In the meantime, what you found here does definitely indicate a problem coming from your theme:

I have also tried activating Twenty Sixteen theme and the filter works correctly. So the problem is between the plugin and theme.

Contacting the theme developer or theme support is the best thing to do here, so thank you for doing that!

Let me know about your new system information; I will look at that and see what I can learn from there. Next, can you also send a .zip of the theme that you have problems in? You can send the theme over email to support at theeventscalendar.com, but please include a link back to this forum thread for reference.

    Thanks!
    George
