MemberThat’s a weird issue. I’m not quite sure how to address it going forward; do you want to share me the event # for the next event that you find this happens to, and I can attempt to recreate on my end?
Rob
MemberHey all. Thanks for the follow-ups. We have had a few reports of this with the 2.0.8 release, and while we’ve got no idea why it’s happening (yet), we’re looking into the cause and should have this fixed for the next release.
In the interim: one solution that has worked for some users is visiting the licenses page; saving (without making any changes); and then returning to Dashboard –> Updates and hitting “Check Again.”
If that doesn’t do the trick, remember that you can always download the newest version of the plugin here…log in on the tri.be site and visit Account Central –> Downloads. Manually download the latest version of the plugin there and upload it to your site. This second solution has worked for everyone I’ve spoken to who didn’t see results with the first.
Please let me know if anyone is still having problems from there and I can troubleshoot as needed. Thanks for your reports and patience so far.

MemberHey Richard. I can get a dev to take a look at this if the issue persists; but, have you checked whether this could be specific to your code? I’d be interested in hearing if the tips Jonah provided in this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/exclude-category-from-both-gridview-and-listview/), which best I can tell overlap with your goal, yield the same result. Are you down to give that a go and let me know the results?
Thanks in advance!
Rob
MemberThanks for the heads up, Richard! It was particularly fortuitous because Jonah left for a month starting today and won’t be back on the forums for a while. We appreciate the assist.
Carl: give the suggestions above a go and let us know if you have any other questions from there. Cheers!
Rob
MemberGrant, does this happen to you even with the 2.0.8 codebase? If we don’t hear from Alan over the next day or so, ping me in here and I can try to get a dev from our team to help figure this out for you.
Rob
MemberHave you checked out our documentation page (at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation )? If I understand your issue correctly, that should point you in the right direction. If you’re still stumped from there though, let me know. Thanks for your support and patience so far, Sandro!

MemberHey Ashley. If I understand correctly what you’re going for, our list of filters/hooks on the documentation page should help you out. Those are at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation.
Have you checked that out already? If not, take a look. Otherwise if I misunderstood your issue or you’re still stumped from there let us know. Cheers!

MemberHi Ashley: thanks for reaching out here. Are you saying you want to add this into the Advanced Post Manager that appears atop the page (http://d.pr/i/uIH7)? Just want to make sure I understand as I wasn’t sure when reading your note.
Thanks in advance!
Rob
MemberThanks for posting this, Torstein. What you’ve given here is great and should be helpful as we continue to look into making things integrate smoothly. While this is a bit outside my area of expertise I have asked our dev Paul to take a look here and respond to your feedback directly.
July 24, 2012 at 11:31 am in reply to: Event Calendar Pro Update Message + Calendar Widget not Working #22647Rob
MemberHi Shelly. Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you out best I can. Are you running The Events Calendar 2.0.8 and Events Calendar PRO 2.0.8? There is also an error message that will appear if you are running any add-ons that are not compatible with the versions of Events that you’re running; as a result you’d want to make sure that all your add-ons are also up to date. Can you confirm as much?
Not sure what’s up with the Calendar widget; I’m not seeing it on your site there. Can you point me in the right direction? Also, just as an aside – it’s easier for us to help solve multiple issues in a timely fashion if they’re posted in separate threads. If you could keep issues separate down the road we sure would appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, Denis. So can I assume that you’re all set here? Just want to make sure before closing the thread out. Let me know if you’ve still got any issues here and we can take a look as needed. Cheers!
Rob
MemberHey Shaun. Jonah’s out for a month as of today, but I can try to help you out here. We generally cannot unfortunately guarantee that the plugin will integrate smoothly with everything else out there. But if you want to send me a copy of it (pro a/ tri.be) I can get a dev to take a quick look and see if he can identify anything right off the bat that could ease with integration. No guarantees but it’s worth a look and is probably the best we can offer up at this point.
Please include a link to this thread in your email and we’ll do what we can from there. Thanks!

MemberHey Simon. Thanks for confirming here; this is a bit outside my area of expertise but let me see if our dev Paul – who has been dealing with a related issue on the WordPress.org forum – could offer up anything here. Appreciate your patience so far.
Rob
MemberGood tip, Andy.
John: this work for you?
July 24, 2012 at 11:20 am in reply to: Events Calendar Pro STILL causing probs with Tag Cloud url? #22642Rob
MemberHey Elizabeth. This is unfortunately still in the works; as we mentioned in the release notes for this month’s release (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/release-the-events-calendarpro-2-0-8/), we didn’t get to as many of the minor bug fixes as we’d hoped due to a number of factors. We are working on those for the next release…but as we’re down a few folks on both the support and development side this month, things are moving a bit slower than normal.
Apologies for the delay and inconvenience. As soon as we can get this patched (and that issue is a high priority, as it’s indicative of a broader problem with the code) we’ll have an update deployed. Thanks for your patience so far.
