MemberSure thing. I’ve got Jonah taking a look here today. Hopefully we can get this resolved from there; if not, I’ll bring in another dev to take a look.
Rob
MemberI suspect there is a workaround. Jonah’s hitting the forums this afternoon so let’s see what he can suggest.

MemberThanks for confirming, Dave – glad to hear this was a conflict and not the plugin itself. Let me see if one of our advanced devs can offer up some additional code (though I’ll have them do so in the other thread, since there are folks waiting for it over there too).
Rob
MemberGot it. Thanks for confirming; got Jonah taking a look here today, so hopefully he can offer up some of those too.
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, Timothy.
For the empty sidebar widget: I’m still not understanding this issue. What is the “odd widget” you reference? Sorry about this, I’m just not positive I understand that last point there.
To make the map and featured image go below the content, check out this FAQ post: https://theeventscalendar.com/?qa_faqs=how-can-i-place-the-map-featured-image-below-the-event-description-instead-of-above. That ought to get you where you need to be, but let me know if not.
On the mystery code: weird, I’ve confirmed that’s definitely in our plugin code but I’ve got no idea why it’d be showing up. Maybe a conflict with the Facebook plugin? I’ll ask Jonah to take a look there.

MemberThanks for what you’ve provided so far, Sam – it’s super helpful and is (hopefully) getting us closer to a resolution here. Let’s see what some of these other guys say and I’ll bring that to my devs for review. Have a great weekend man.
Rob
MemberHey Andrzej. Thanks for the note; unfortunately I don’t quite understand what you’re aiming to do here so I can’t offer up much. Can you elaborate? Are the dropdowns not appearing, or functioning correctly? If you could post a screenshot of what you’re seeing (it sounds like this is being done locally so there’s no live site to point us to), it’d definitely be helpful. I can respond and can bring a dev in as needed from there.
Rob
MemberHey Dennis. No problem; this is actually controlled by your overall WordPress setup, so whatever you’ve configured as the day the week starts under Settings -> General should carry over to the calendar as well. Let me know if you’re still having problems from there or if I’ve misinterpreted the request entirely.
Rob
MemberSure thing, David. What theme are you on? Have you tried exploring the different templating options under Settings -> The Events Calendar, to see if any of those give you what you’re looking for, display-wise?
Let me know if that’s not helpful and I can see if one of our devs can provide specific guidance. Thanks in advance!
Rob
MemberHey Craig. No problem; we’re happy to do what we can to help. We actually just updated our Documentation page ( tri.be/support/documentation ) today with some straightforward examples of event loops that can be made using template tags. There was also a forum thread on this very issue that you’ve probably seen (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/loop-examples/) which Jonah also updated recently with some simple solutions.
That point you in the right direction? Let me know if you were looking for something more substantive and I’ll adjust my response accordingly.

MemberThis suggestion here is awesome, Steve – thank you. We’ve had a few users report this issue so far, and though I’ve been unable to recreate it on my end, your fix will definitely be of value to others who come with the same problem down the road. Thanks again.
Rob
MemberHey Scott. Thanks for posting this; can you confirm that the problem happens in both FREE alone (2.0.3) and free+PRO as you’ve noted here? In the meantime I’ve asked Jonah, our dev, to see if he has any suggestions on how to resolve this.
Rob
MemberHi there HAKAN. Thanks for noting this; that definitely should not be happening. If you’re running the free version without issue, it doesn’t sound like your site is lacking the minimum requirements needed for the plugin…so my guess is that it’s either a conflict with your theme/another plugin, or that there’s an earlier version of Events Calendar PRO somewhere in there still active. Any chance you could try deactivating other plugins to see if the issue persists? And can you confirm for me that no other PRO releases are active on your system?
Also, just to confirm: when you say the free version is working, that’s on 2.0.3 as well, correct? The version numbers should always be consistent between the two, so if they’re not that is the first place I’d look.
Let me know about the points above and I’ll keep looking into it, bringing in a dev if needed.
January 20, 2012 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Displaying Custom Field Attributes on Frontend in Custom Template File #13728Rob
MemberHi Janet. You are correct in assuming that, but I know that just this morning we discovered an issue with get_tribe_custom that was giving us problems. I’m not positive of the specifics but I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look in case he has a suggestion to tide you over until we get the get_tribe_custom issue resolved in 2.1.
January 20, 2012 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Page title doesn't display on Events list or calendar view #13727Rob
MemberHi Jessica. I’m seeing “Calendar of Events” on the title for both of those pages; have I misinterpreted the request here? Apologies if so. Remember that you also have the option to add HTML before/after your calendar on the Settings -> The Events Calendar page. Let me know if I’ve missed the point or if you already resolved this.
