HAKAN
MemberHi–
After activating version 2.0.3 of the Pro plug-in, the site (http://arteeast.org/newgray/) was taken down with a 500 error. There was no way to deactivate it without going into the database and pulling it from the list of active plug-ins in the wp_options table (which restored it immediately). The free version is installed and is working fine. This was a new install today (1/20/2012) so there’s no data associated with the plug-in yet.
I’m not sure if it’s a conflict with another plug-in or what, but it’s hard to troubleshoot the issue and take the site down in the process.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

MemberHi there HAKAN. Thanks for noting this; that definitely should not be happening. If you’re running the free version without issue, it doesn’t sound like your site is lacking the minimum requirements needed for the plugin…so my guess is that it’s either a conflict with your theme/another plugin, or that there’s an earlier version of Events Calendar PRO somewhere in there still active. Any chance you could try deactivating other plugins to see if the issue persists? And can you confirm for me that no other PRO releases are active on your system?
Also, just to confirm: when you say the free version is working, that’s on 2.0.3 as well, correct? The version numbers should always be consistent between the two, so if they’re not that is the first place I’d look.
Let me know about the points above and I’ll keep looking into it, bringing in a dev if needed.

MemberHi Rob,
So it appears that the conflict is with the Term Menu Order plug-in by James Lafferty (https://github.com/kalchas/Term-Menu-Order) — any thoughts as to whether these two can work together would be most welcome.
best,

MemberEdited to add, yes, the install was completely new, so the free version is also 2.0.3 and there is no earlier version of PRO running on the system.

MemberHi there HAKAN. Thanks for the follow-up; so it sounds like this is a plugin conflict. Since that Term Menu Order looks to be a free plugin I’ve downloaded it accordingly and added it to the list of plugins we should test against for 2.1. No guarantees we’ll be able to get everything integrated smoothly, but it’s on our radar and we’ll do what we can.
Let me know if you need anything else along these lines or have any other questions.
