Rob
MemberIt could be. That’s a bit outside my area of expertise, but let me see if Jonah or another deb has any ideas there.

MemberAh, good to know. And have you been able to test deactivation of other plugins to make sure nothing is conflicting there? Just wanted to make sure.
Rob
MemberThanks for the shortcode suggestion, Jeff. I assume by now you saw my somewhat-explanation as to why in the other thread 🙂
Good suggestions on the other fronts, though. If we can offer up a solution for the third I’m also going to add that to the FAQ.

MemberGlad to hear that did the trick for you, Jason. Not a long-term solution and I’m still going to have the devs take a look here accordingly, but Kris…let us know if that works for you as well.
Rob
MemberHey Albert. Sorry to hear you’re having problems…that is a weird issue indeed. First suggestion would be to switch to a different template using the dropdown on Settings -> The Events Calendar, to see if one of the others there creates smoother integration. Have you already given that a shot?

MemberOdd error; thanks for reporting it, Francisco. I’m unable to recreate this with the same code so my guess is there’s something else at play here. Let me see if our dev Jonah can identify what it may be via the error message itself. I’ll get him to respond directly if so.
Rob
MemberHey Jeff. Thanks for the note. To your second point, couldn’t you use the before/after HTML options on the settings page to do this?
As for the first: this certainly may change, but when developing the plugin we opted to go with template tags instead of shortcodes, and have continued down that path as it allows generally the same degree of flexibility. Since our plugin rewrites the content loops shortcodes weren’t a viable option. Have you checked our template tag documentation to see if it meets your needs (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation )?
February 9, 2012 at 11:46 am in reply to: How do I remove the agenda/calendar switch from the template? #14941Rob
MemberHey Jeff. You’re saying you want to remove the option for them to toggle between Grid & List view on the frontend? I can also get Jonah to take a look here.
Rob
MemberHi Jeff. We should be able to point you in the right direction here; let me see if our dev Jonah can comment. He’ll be hitting the forums here later today.

MemberThanks Dave. Still no dice, unfortunately.
Here’s how I configured my settings page: http://cl.ly/3F1Z0r2k2O1C1V1W1D1f (also tried with an 8am-5pm event)
Here’s how it looked for February in grid view: http://cl.ly/3i3e2s0m231g1U2j3P1t
And here’s how March looked: http://cl.ly/2R201i0a1Z0a1t1m1f3BTo confirm: you’re running 2.0.3 of both free & PRO, right? If so and if the problem persists my bets are still on the fact that it’s a conflict, based on what we’re seeing so far. Let me know your thoughts.
Rob
MemberHey Marco. I’ll get Nick, our dev who has been troubleshooting this issue, to respond directly.
Rob
MemberHey Rene. Have you modified the plugin at all in any way (ie changing the templates)? And can you also check whether or not deactivating timthumb has any impact here? In the past instances along these lines have been related to not using the latest timthumb code, so might be worth checking that out too.
For the second issue: your screenshot didn’t come through. Can you repost?
February 9, 2012 at 11:33 am in reply to: Moving reoccuring item to trash and restoring it causes unstable state. #14935Rob
MemberHey Christina. Thanks for the heads up here; I just attempted this but was unable to recreate it. Any chance you could either provide a screencast or shoot me an email with some creds to check this out on your site, so I can look into it further? Want to get this figured out for you if it’s indeed a bug with the plugin itself.
Rob
MemberHey EB, thanks for the note. The best I can offer up on this would be to install the free The Events Calendar, as the backend’s are pretty much identical (PRO just has a few additional options). Fixed term courses would be doable as standalone events in The Events Calendar; if you wanted them to recur, you would need the extra recurrence setting that is only available to PRO users. But if you wanted a couple examples of how those recurrence options appear I could probably point you in the right direction.

MemberThanks David 🙂 Glad to hear that did the trick. Let us know if anything else arises.
