MemberHeck yeah, Robert – thanks for the vote. That is definitely on the roadmap 🙂
Rob
MemberMan, that is a solid looking site Christina! You’ve done some of the cleanest category color coding I’ve seen so far, and the registration form you’ve got in the individual entries looks great too. Thanks a lot for sharing.

MemberHey there Hamish. Thanks for the follow-up. It’s worth noting here that (re)crawling takes time, so the results of what you added based on Joey’s code would not be taking effect already. It could be a few days or even weeks before the results are truly visible. In addition, in webmaster tools, Google doesn’t hide previous errors even if fixed, it just doesn’t re-add them as new ones or increase the “count” on them (the number of times that error happens).
As to the second point, what do you mean by “wider”?
Rob
MemberThanks for the words, Robert! Glad to hear this got you going in the right direction. Have a great weekend and please let us know if you need anything more down the road.

MemberHi Maryna. Thanks for the note. We’ve got a couple open issues related to the iCal functionality, but this best I can tell isn’t one of them. Are you running 2.0.4 for both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO? And have you tried deactivating other plugins (and reverting to the default 2011 theme if necessary) so we can identify whether this is a conflict of some kind?
Let me know if not and we can keep looking into it.
Rob
MemberHey Katrina. Thanks for reaching out! If you shoot an email to pro /a/ tri.be referencing the non-profit agreement and giving us a bit of information about the non-profit, we’ll hook you up.
Rob
MemberHi there Alan. Thanks for reaching out, and for bringing up these points. The first one is indeed a known issue in the current code that we’ve got logged in the system. While the fix won’t be included in the 2.0.5 code base (since it’s almost ready to ship and that code hasn’t yet been worked out), it will be in 2.1. The editing issue should only occur if you attempt to change from the frontend – if you do on the backend it should behave as normal, as you’ve noted.
The second bug you’ve noted here is a great one, and we hadn’t caught it yet…I’ve logged it with the team, and thanks to you we’ll be able to get it fixed for the 2.1 release as well. As with the other, apologies for the inconvenience you’re faced with in the interim.
As for the other calendar solution you noted…that’s an interesting approach, and it sounds definitely to be robust. What was it called? I suspect that’s outside the realm of what we could integrate anytime soon, but I do know that we have in the roadmap plans to change the recurrence functional to allow for more custom/random recurrence patterns. And there may be a widget or two to accompany that eventually as well.
Definitely appreciate your ideas and report here, though. Sorry I didn’t have more to offer up…and if you have any other questions let me know. Happy to help where I can.
Rob
MemberHey Nicholas. We can take another look, but what element of the problem remains? Is it the entire issue as described in your previous post or have you made progress? Let me know.
Rob
MemberHey Mike. Thanks for the heads up here; let me get Jonah to double check here, as this is a bit outside my area of expertise. Sit tight and he’ll respond when he hits the forums next!

MemberHey Jason: happy to try to help you out here. What code are you using…The Events Calendar 2.0.4 + Events Calendar PRO 2.0.4? And if so…they’re the official/tagged releases and not beta code? Just want to double check.

MemberAh, gotcha. OK – let me see if Jonah can you point you in the right direction here. Stay tuned!
Rob
MemberAlright, thanks for confirming. I’m not sure what the case could be here – let me see if Jonah, from our dev team, has any suggestions. I’ll get him to chime in directly if so.
Rob
MemberHey Duncan. Thanks for the note; can you elaborate on your issue, and we can try to assist from there? I’m not seeing anything in that off the bat but don’t know what to look for. Let me know and I can bring a dev in as needed.
Rob
MemberHey Ruud. Interesting issue. That’s not a default behavior of the plugin (in free or PRO), so it sounds like something else is at play here. If you want to post that as a new thread on the WordPress.org forum for this plugin I can definitely get a dev on our end to take a look/try to point you in the right direction.
I will note that there are some problems with sites not running with pretty permalinks (which seems to be the case for yours). Would you be willing to try a switch to a different permalink structure (ie /%postname%/) to see if the issue persists?
Rob
MemberHey Jeremy. I am seeing the issue there; thanks. Doesn’t look like your permalink structure is the issue. Before I get a dev to take a look at the backend, can you do a couple of tests for me?
1) Switch to a different permalink structure under Settings -> Permalinks to see if the issue persists.
2) Confirm that you’re running the 2.0.4 code for both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO.
3) Deactivate all other plugins to see if we can identify a conflict with one of those plugins.
4) After deactivating the plugins, if the issue persists, reverting to the 2011 theme to see if it’s a theme issue.Once you give those a go and report your findings, I can get a dev to take a look from there. My apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.
