MemberHi Nedko,
Thank you for pointing out the issue with the Day View. We had an incorrect textdomain left in that was causing the problem. It is now fixed. You can download corrected bg_BG files here. Those will translate Day properly, as well as the new Google and iCal links.
Can you send me a screenshot of the issue you’re seeing with the widget? Or be more specific about which widget it is?

MemberHi Mark,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to work with the API, that’s great. I’ve ticketed this for us to review. Having a Uservoice page for it is one of the best ways to encourage us to add a feature, because we can see the demand from customer’s votes. We monitor our UserVoice page regularly and update our internal tickets accordingly. Thank you for your thoughts, and do let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you.
Best,
Leah

MemberHi Sean,
Thanks for posting. I’ll need to check in with one of our devs about this, but I’ll get back to you. I’m glad you have a workaround in the interim.

MemberHi Rosemary,
Thanks for posting. I’m glad you like The Events Calendar!
When you say you want default content, is that for the tickets themselves (like always having Adult tickets for $10 each) or is it for the event (like always have it at the same venue)? At this time, there is not a way to do default ticket information. If you’d like to encourage us to add that as a feature, you can vote for it on the UserVoice page.
If you’d like to be able to set a default venue and organizer, you might consider purchasing a license for Events Calendar PRO. With PRO, you can set a default organizer and/or venue (or state or country) and that will always be the default for each new event you create. Of course, you’ll also have the option to put in different data as needed.
At this time, our CSV import does not work with Eventbrite Tickets- or at least, not directly. You’ll still need to add tickets to any event imported via CSV.
Does that answer your questions?

MemberHi Mark,
The Facebook Events plugin only does a one-time import. It is not possible to sync the events so you can automatically get changes from Facebook. If you do make a change to the event on Facebook, you could delete the event on WordPress and then re-import it from Facebook. I know that’s not optimal, but it is at least a workaround.
We would like to be able to synchronize events from Facebook, but there may be limitations based on the Facebook API. If you’d like to encourage us to look into adding that feature, you can vote for it on the UserVoice page.

June 16, 2014 at 5:01 pm in reply to: How do you add a new custom field as an Active Filter? #230253Leah
MemberHi Yvonne,
Thanks for your post. At this time, there is no built-in way to add your additional fields to the Filter Bar. However, we are planning on adding that feature in a future release. If you’d like to stay updated on our progress, I recommend that you add your votes and subscribe to our UserVoice thread for the feature.
If you are interested, you might also be able to do some custom work to get additional fields working with Filter Bar. You might check out this thread and this thread for some tips on how to get started. Please note however that aside from pointing you in the right direction, we are not able to provides assistance with this kind of complex customization.
Good luck, and thanks for using The Events Calendar!

MemberHi Steve,
The event date and time are visible in the pop-up/mouse-over on the calendar view (here’s an example). If you wanted the date and time to show on the calendar itself, you would need to customize the calendar view itself. We can’t help with that kind of customization, but we do have extensive documentation that can help you. We could also recommend some developers who might be able to assist you. Does that answer your question?

June 16, 2014 at 4:40 pm in reply to: Translating of Previous and Next Events links doesn't work, Upcoming Event link #230233Leah
MemberHi toneroysland,
Thanks for the link. It looks like perhaps you have done some customizing to your list view so that the Previous and Next Events links are at the top. Is that correct? I was unable to recreate the problem you are having where the Previous Events links to your homepage. I’m wondering if maybe that is due to an issue with your customization?
The main problem with the bits of English showing up on your site is that the translation is really outdated. What we really need to have someone update the nb_NO translation with the latest 3.6 .pot file. Are you interested? We’d be happy to give you a free license in exchange for your hard work! If you’re willing, you can find all the information and files you need in our Getting Started post.
I checked and it looks like you got the Google Calendar link showing properly- are you seeing that as well?

MemberHi Marcos,
1. WooCommerce Tickets automatically makes a ticket as a WooCommerce product, and it is visible on your event’s page.
2. Yes, you can use WooCommerce Tickets with the free calendar. You do not need to buy PRO.
3. You can use another plugin (made by one of our fans) to do that. Check out The Events Calendar Category Colors. It will color your categories and show them on the calendar page.
Cheers,
Leah
Oi Marcos,
Felicidades,
Leah

MemberVery cool! I do want to caution you about using the translation files that way though. Translation files change with each release as the plugin changes, and strings are changed, added, or deleted. You’ll want to make sure that your file is not overwritten when you update to a new version of the plugin- I recommend saving the file outside your WordPress folder just in case.
Additionally, you may need to update your “translation” once in a while to handle changed or added strings. To do that, open the file in PoEdit and then click Category –> Update from POT File. Select the .pot file from the plugin’s /lang folder, and the new strings will then be available in your .po file for you to translate.

Leah

MemberHi Matthew,
Thanks for posting. Any chance the language translation you did could be added to the main plugin? We are always hoping to expand our translations.
To use your new .po file, add it to the plugins /lang folder. You’ll need to have a translation for each of our plugins you’re using. Make sure you also add the corresponding .mo file, and that the files follow the naming convention of the other .po/.mo files and have your language’s suffix (ex. fr_FR).
The next thing is to change the language code in your wp-config.php file. If you’re not familiar with doing that, you can follow the instructions here.
Let me know if you have any trouble and I’d be happy to help out 🙂

Obrigado,
Leah
