MemberHi Mark,
Thanks for your post. Definitely sounds like a cool creative use of our plugin! If the functionality you describe is the extent of your needs, I do think the Events Calendar PRO could work for you. Do note though that the Advanced Custom Fields are pretty simple and WYSIWYG- you couldn’t, for example, have the employee names in the ACF link to their BuddyPress profile or something like that. At least, not without a lot of customization work 🙂
I highly recommend that you check out this video about using Advanced Custom Fields to make sure it has everything you need. And of course if you have any additional questions, I’d be more than happy to answer those. Thanks for thinking of us!

Adeus,

MemberThat’s a big difference, I’m not at all surprised you’re not seeing the license key page. I’m honestly happy you’re not seeing even more issue! Updating should help everything run more smoothly, as well as giving you access to all the cool new PRO features.
Before you update, you’ll definitely want to read through this guide. You’ll only be updating PRO of course, but it should be helpful. You might also want to review the rest of the New User Primer, since there are a lot of changes.
Depending on your site, it’s very possible that the big changes we made in 3.0 will effect your site. I highly recommend updating on a test site if you can, so you can see any changes it makes to your template, etc. If you need help integrating with 3.0, you can start another thread for that topic and we’ll do our best to help out.
Thanks for your support!

MemberThe two most common reasons for it not to show are because you are running mismatched versions of the plugins or because you are on a WordPress multi-site. Can you confirm for me what versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO you are using?
If you are using a multi-site installation, you’ll only see the license key options on the main network site, not on the sub-sites.
Thanks for your patience while we get you set up.

MemberHi Todd,
Thanks for getting in touch. You’ve done just the right thing by disconnecting the Personal license from your site. The next step actually happens in your WordPress dashboard. Go to Events –> Settings –> License Keys, and you’ll see a text box where you can enter your new Developer license key. Let me know if you run into any trouble.
Cheers,
Leah

MemberHi organix,
The Events Calendar and Eventbrite Tickets are two separate plugins. We’ve designed our suite so that people can mix and match what features they need from our various plugins. Do keep in mind that Eventbrite Tickets will work with our core plugin, The Events Calendar. So you don’t need to purchase Events Calendar PRO unless you want the PRO features as well. Does that answer your question?

MemberHi Paul,
The CSV file for the events should include a column for Venue and Organizer. As long as those match the data in your Venue and Organizer CSV files, they will be automatically associated. Does that help? You can download some example CSV files here to see what I mean. You’ll also want to read through our New User Primer for the CSV Importer.
Please note that this forum is for people asking questions about our premium plugins, and not a place to get support for The Events Calendar. If you need help but do not have a premium license, you need to post in our open-source forum at wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar/. Thank you!
Cheers,
Leah
June 6, 2014 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Need user base access privilege on calendar and WPML support #210084Leah
MemberHi Shah Alam,
Thanks for your post. If I understand correctly, your client wants to be able to have users log into the site and post there own events. You might want to check out our Community Events plugin, which is designed to do that from the front end of the site. You can control the event submissions on the backend.
Another option is to use our regular calendar plugin together with some user role controls so that certain people can log into the backend of the site and create events. Would one of those options work for you?
Please note that at this time our calendar does not work with WPML. We are not able to provide support for that. My apologies for any convenience there. We hope to improve compatibility in the future.

MemberHi Chris,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins. Your calculations are correct. Each of our plugins is priced separately so that users can mix and match to meet their needs.
If the price seems high to you, please remember that each of these plugins represents hours and hours of developer work, testing, and refinement. Additionally, those licenses come with a year of access to our premium support forums and automatic updates for our (near) monthly maintenance releases.

MemberHi Cassi,
Thanks for your post. Because you haven’t had a valid license for a while, I suspect that you are running an outdated version of Events Calendar PRO. That could be a large part of the issue here. It is also possible that there are theme conflicts in play, as I know that Genesis can cause problems for folks. Can you tell me what version of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO you are currently using?
Renewing your license may solve some of your problems, and it will also get you access to our premium support forums. If these issues persist and appear to be part of your theme, we will do our best to help you get things working. However, do note that this might require some custom work on your part to get things cooperating. It’s also possible that we won’t be able to help- I don’t want to be negative, but I do want you to know that’s a possibility.
If you still have an account on tri.be, you can renew your license from tri.be/my-account/license-keys/. The renewal is automatically 30% off. If you don’t have an account, let me know and I can help you to still get that discount.
Best,
Leah

MemberHi Larry,
Thanks for your interest in our plugins. At this time there is no built in way to charge for premium listings, or to make some events stand out as you describe. Our Community Events plugin allows site visitors to add an event, but the events will appear the same on the calendar and there isn’t a built in charge for adding events.
That being said, it may be possible to do what you’re looking for with some complex customizations of our plugin(s). We wouldn’t be able to assist you with that, but we’d be happy to recommend some developers.
