MemberHi Kyle,
You might want to check out this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ical-export-does-not-include-attached-images/
The user wanted to include attached images in the iCal export and was able to add to the code in functions.php (or via a plugin) in order to do this. It’s very possible that you could use a similar customization to export the contents of custom fields.
I’m sorry I can’t be of more assistance. Does that answer your question?
Thanks,
LeahLeah
MemberThanks for the info guys. I’ll make sure Tim gets this and we’ll get back to you after he has time to take a look.
Thanks for your patience,

MemberHi S., I’m glad it worked out okay. Sorry for the inconvenience!

MemberHi Manuel,
You can most likely disable the popup box or make it a link via the customization I mentioned in the email. But I’ll add your suggestions to our requested feature lists.
Thanks,
LeahLeah
MemberThanks for clarifying, ML. I believe this is possible by doing template overrides on all of the views that include the event title. You can read more about template overrides here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/#views
For this particular change, take a look at this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/clicking-event-title-link-on-the-upcoming-events-page/
The user there wanted to remove the Event title link from the list view. You could use a similar method (but different code) to go in and change the link that gets called. To change that in all listings of the Event title would require going through the various relevant views and changing them all to match.
I’m sorry I can’t provide a simpler solution, but I hope you’re able to achieve what you’re looking for.
Good luck!

MemberHi Chris,
1. I’m not sure what you mean, actually. What do you mean when you say “WP settings format”? The event permalinks will differ depending on how you’ve set your pretty permalinks in Settings –> Permalinks.
2. We plan to include built-in event tagging in our upcoming 3.0 release. Until then, try using the workaround in our FAQ. It’s the fifth entry under Customization at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/faqs/.
3. You’re not the first to request iCal import ability. We are not prioritizing this feature right now, but we are aware of the customer demand and may include it in a future release.

MemberHi Manuel,
I think we cleared this up via email, but let me know if you have any lingering questions.
Thanks,

MemberHi Tim,
You could switch to a different page template under Events –> Settings and choose one without the sidebar. If you want to include the sidebar, you’d need to create a new page template where either the sidebar or calendar is thinner so everything fits better.
You can read more about custom templates at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/#templates. I’m sorry I can’t provide more support on this issue.
In response to your second question- there is no built in way to elegantly print events. There might be a plugin that could give you that functionality, but we don’t have it baked into the Pro version any more than what you can do from the free one.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.
Best,
LeahLeah
MemberHey Robin,
Thanks for clarifying. Forum posts are not currently editable, although we’re considering changing that. I’m glad you got everything working well! I’m going to close out this thread, but don’t hesitate to start another if you need more help.

MemberHi Jenna,
We won’t be sending out an email, but we will post on our Products blog with all the features and bug fixes included in the release, like this one for the current version: https://theeventscalendar.com/release-the-events-calendar-2-0-9/
Keep an eye on the tri.be site and particularly on https://theeventscalendar.com/category/products/. You can even subscribe to a feed to keep up on the latest news. Thanks for the support!

MemberHey ML,
Sorry my initial post got deleted. Thanks for clarifying. So you’d like Event titles to link to a WordPress page rather than the built in Event page that is default, right? And were you looking to do that on just the Venue page, or in all listing of the Event title?
I’m going to look into this possibility and I’ll get back to this afternoon. Thanks for your patience!

MemberHi Arvid,
In the WP-admin, the featured image option appears by default under Event Options and Event Categories on the right (http://d.pr/i/V5Ok). Double check on your Screen Options (button in the far upper right corner of the dashboard) that you have the Featured Image area visible (http://d.pr/i/jaV4).
It seems to me that the invisible Feature Image adder is the root of both issues you listed. Double check that and if that isn’t the issue let me know and we’ll start some deeper troubleshooting.

MemberHi Jason,
I’m sorry for the miscommunication and inconvenience. Jonah is out this week and we did not see your response. That’s our bad, and I heartily apologize. We’re working on growing and stabilizing our support system so things like this don’t happen, but it’s a work in progress.
I’m sorry you’ve run into so many issues in the current release. Many users do not experience any of these problems, and we’re working hard to make our plugin versatile and compatible with users’ widely-varied setups. We share our limited developer and support resources among all our users, so we are not always able to prioritize isolated issues. While we’re always working to improve and add new features to the plugin, along the way we sometimes inadvertently introduce issues. We appreciate our users reporting problems so that we can improve our plugin. You can see in our forum archives that we work hard to provide fixes in our monthly maintenance releases. We have one coming up in just a few weeks which will include patches for many of the problems users are currently facing. And a month or so after that we’ll be releasing our broader update (3.0) with new features as well as bug fixes.
Our request for plugin and theme deactivation is common practice among WordPress plugins because it is the best way of identifying whether this is a conflict and helps use figure out where to begin troubleshooting. We recommend that users have a staging or test site where they can do this without impacting the live site. Unfortunately, something with your system is conflicting with the plugin, and Jonah was simply trying to identify the issue in order to potentially work toward a fix. For an isolated issue like this, we need the user to work with us to identify the source of the issue. We try to adhere to WordPress best practices to make our plugins as compatible and functional as possible, but with the myriad of other plugins and customizations our there we are unable to get 100% compatibility.
There are known issues with the plugins Visitor Maps, Who’s Online, and SeriesEngine. We’re adding code to fix these conflicts in our upcoming release which will be out by the end of October. If you are running one of those plugins and can deactivate it until you can upgrade, that may provide a temporary solution.
Again, I apologize for our communication failure. If you would still like to move forward with a refund, please email us at pro /a/ tri.be.
Best,
LeahLeah
MemberGlad to hear that was a success Tony. I’m going to close out the thread, but if you have any other questions feel free to start another.
