MemberHi Alexis. If you login (to your site) and navigate to Events > Settings > General can you confirm that the Enable Google Maps box has been checked?
Can you also confirm that on each event you have checked the Show Google Map box (in the Event Location Details section)?
Thanks!

ParticipantHello Barry. Thank you for responding.
I have double checked and yes, both the Enable Google Maps box has been checked as well as the Show Google Map box (in the Event Location Details section).
Map still does not show on the front end.
Thank you.October 16, 2012 at 5:20 pm #26731Barry
MemberThanks for the speedy response Alexis!
Can you try our standard troubleshooting steps:
- Ensure your Modern Tribe plugins are up to date
- Disable all other plugins
- Switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Eleven
- If the problem disappears, reactivate everything one-at-a-time, testing at each stage
- If you notice that your theme or a particular plugin causes the problem to return, this is a likely conflict
Can you give that a try?

ParticipantBarry,
I failed to mention that this problem is only occurring once. In other words, I have multiple events with the Google maps feature selected on the backend and on the front end the map works, except for one event.
What could cause Google maps to fail on only one event?
Thanks.October 17, 2012 at 9:04 am #26754Barry
MemberI’m not sure, can you provide a link to the event in question? Can you also confirm what the address is (as detailed in the event editor) for that event?

MemberHi Alexis, so one thing I’m noticing is a Javascript issue on that page:
Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://s154355.gridserver.com/app/event/universal-citywalk-music-spotlight-series/2012-10-19/ from frame with URL http://www.youtube.com/embed/exHVpnM39vQ?rel=0&wmode=transparent. Domains, protocols and ports must match.
So that’s a possible clue – basically a problem with the embedded YouTube video. Some Javascript issues like this can be real show stoppers and in this particular case I don’t believe this stems from The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO, even though it may impact upon them.
It may be that is enough information to let you fix the YouTube issue, but if not can I refer you back to my previous post and ask that you complete the steps I suggested and advise me of the outcome?

ParticipantBarry,
The map seams to be working now, and we didn’t do anything! Haha, not sure what is going on …October 18, 2012 at 3:42 pm #26835Leah
MemberI’m glad you got it working, even if it was by magic 🙂
If you have any more issues, don’t hesitate to post again.
Thanks Alexis!

ParticipantThanks guys!
Here is an issue we can’t resolve. How do we remove the transparent title above “Events by Hour” on the left side of the ever?

MemberHi Alexis, I could be wrong but I don’t think that is being generated by an Events Calendar view/template, so you would need to make an amendment to whichever theme template is being used.
