    Hi Ed,

You are correct that the plugin does still work even if you do not have a valid license. So you won’t lose any functionality. However, you will lose access to our premium support and access to all of our updates. Most people maintain a valid license so they can get the new features that come with our almost-monthly version updates.

There is an alert banner that shows for outdated plugins. You can disable that by customizing your admin_notices.

    Hi Bali,

Thanks for the note. While I cannot guarantee that an outside plugin will work perfectly, I can say that generally plugins that are compatible with WooCommerce work with WooTickets as well. WooTickets is like a bridge between Events Calendar and WooCommerce, but all the payment goes through WooCommerce. You might also want to check with the support teams at WooCommerce and/or ignitewoo, as they could probably shed some light on this or foresee potential conflicts.

    Hi Maya,

I believe that our plugins play nicely with BuddyPress. Since everyone’s set up is different we cannot guarantee that sort of thing, but I can tell you that we have not had any reports of a conflict there.

    Hi Maya,

I’m afraid I’m not familiar with WPMUDEV. I will say that Community Events is custom made to integrate smoothly with Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. Using a different plugin so closely with Events Calendar may work, but also may need some customizing to resolve conflicts or differences. Does that help a little? I’d be happy to answer any specific questions you have about functionality.

    Hi diedirekten,

We certainly don’t want anyone getting in trouble. We are planning to make a few changes to our emailed receipt so that they can be used as an invoice for those customers who need them. I apologize for any inconvenience in the mean time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in WooTickets. I’m happy to report that we are adding in this functionality for the next iteration of WooTickets, which will be released with our upcoming Events Calendar 3.0 release. We are in the homestretch on that, so there will be a solution for your client soon. Keep an eye on our site for release announcements.

    Hi Brett,

Thanks for getting in touch. The feed does not change when you add PRO. However, it is possible to have the event date show instead of the creation date with some feed customization. Check out the discussion in the comments on this tutorial. That will get you started. Once you buy PRO, you can also ask for assistance in our premium forums.

    Thanks,
    Leah

    Hi Daniel,

Good question. The PRO plugin is an add-on, so it works on top of the existing core plugin. All the data and settings that you have now will transition seamlessly to work with PRO. The only thing that may need some work is if you currently have recurring events that were creating manually without PRO, you may want to make them into the PRO-enabled Recurring Event so they function better.

I would recommend that you add PRO sooner rather than later, for two reasons. For one, we are increasing our prices in June and if you buy now you’ll save on year-long PRO license. Secondly, adding PRO now will give you a chance to adjust to all the new features that PRO offers (including the new Recurring Events as I noted above). Our 3.0 release includes a whole bundle of new features, so it might be nice for you and your client to go one at a time with the big changes 🙂

    Hi eldridgea,

We’d be happy to help you out, but you’ll need to post in our premium WooTickets forum. This forum is for pre-sales questions.

in reply to: manage availability "per date" on repeating event #49066

with The Events Calendar Pro I can set “english lesson” repeating everyday, with 10 seats each.
So from a backend data point of view, we are set.

You can set English Lesson repeating everyday, with ten tickets available. As people purchased tickets, the number available would go down until the class was full. Keep in mind that although the event can be repeated, you’ll need to add tickets for each individual instance of the event.

But, if I understand correctly, in my case I would like the front-end user to first choose the event (English Lesson) then choose the date.
While your plugins would display “English lesson monday” and “english lesson tuesday” as separate events (basically choosing first date, then topic).

You are correct. The events could all be named English Lesson, but as mentioned about they would each need to have tickets added.

Is there anywhere where I can try The Events Calendar Pro + wootickets?

Not directly. The best we have for now is the demo link I provided above.

    Hi Hinsel,

Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our WooTickets plugin. Since WooTickets using WooCommerce for the payment side of things, any payment gateway that WooCommerce accepts can be used with WooTickets. The free WooCommerce product does not include PayPal Pro. However, I poked around on their site and found two WooCommerce extensions that would work for your client, PayPal PRO and PayPal Advanced. So although our plugin does not include this feature by default, the functionality is achievable with an additional add-on from WooCommerce.

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Hi Allison,

We would love to have a feature like that, but it’s extremely complicated. Currently we can only export events to Google Calendar, but not vice versa.

    Hi Jay,

Thanks for getting in touch. Our plugins do not include the ability to charge customers to submit events, or to add premium features as you described. It may be possible with some third-party customizing, but that would be beyond our scope of support. I’m sorry we couldn’t be more helpful.

    Best,
    Leah
