    Hi,

I’m looking at a fairly significant implementation of WooTickets/Event Calendar Pro, however I’ve just had a question from the client that has me puzzled. She has asked how they would manage a situation where an attendee wants to cancel their ticket and/or reschedule/refund

From what I can tell having done some reading on the forums, there is no way to cancel an order that automatically will ensure that the ticket(s) are cancelled and names removed from the attendees list.

Is this still the case? Are there any immediate plans to resolve this issues? If so are you able to provide a timeframe with any degree of accuracy?

This is a bit of a deal breaker for the client so may well have to consider alternatives if there is no solution.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in WooTickets. I’m happy to report that we are adding in this functionality for the next iteration of WooTickets, which will be released with our upcoming Events Calendar 3.0 release. We are in the homestretch on that, so there will be a solution for your client soon. Keep an eye on our site for release announcements.

    Cheers,
    Leah

Thanks for the update, this is great news.

Another query I had was re licensing. I was under the impression that the license was a one-off cost, and that if we required ongoing support/updates after 1 year we could then renew the license. However I also thought that if we were happy with the functionality and no longer required support that we would not have to renew.

Could you confirm details on this one for me? Specifically:
    – If we don’t renew the license will we lose any functionality?
    – I saw in a screenshot somewhere an alert in the WP backend saying the license has expired – is this right? If so can this alert be disabled?

    Thanks

    Hi Ed,

You are correct that the plugin does still work even if you do not have a valid license. So you won’t lose any functionality. However, you will lose access to our premium support and access to all of our updates. Most people maintain a valid license so they can get the new features that come with our almost-monthly version updates.

There is an alert banner that shows for outdated plugins. You can disable that by customizing your admin_notices.

    Cheers,
    Leah
