    Hi Asaya,

You can change it yourself actually. But whenever you update the plugin the newest German translation will overwrite the file you’ve changed, so you may need to do this again whenever a new version comes out.

To change the translation on your site, go to your WordPress folders and find wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lang/. In that folder you’ll see a file called tribe-events-calendar-de_DE.po. What you need to do is edit that file using a program like PoEdit. You can use this tutorial to edit the file. You’ll need to find that line in the file, change the German translation, and then save the file and create a new .mo file (as explained in the tutorial). You’ll then want to add the new .po and .mo files to your /lang/ folder, replacing the ones that were there before.

You also might be able to use a string-by-string translation plugin like Say What? to translate just that one bit the way you want it.

    Good luck!

    Hi again mastafu,

I’m sorry you’ve had such a negative experience with our plugin. Several of our recent problems have been critical issues for you, and I understand how that is extremely frustrating!

We strive to build good, solid plugins and test them thoroughly, but unfortunately we do sometimes make mistakes or miss things. And although we do our best to get hotfixes and maintenance releases out as needed, we are a small team and cannot always release a patch or fix. If you need to switch to a plugin that better suits your support needs, I can offer you a refund. Beyond that I can only thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Best,
    Leah

    Hi mastafu,

As I posted in your other thread, this is actually because the Polish translation is incomplete. We’d love to get your help with updating it! I’ll close this thread up, but you can respond in the other. Thank you!

    Hi mastafu,

There are multiple parts of our plugin that have not yet been translated into Polish, which is why you are still seeing English on your site. The Polish translation is getting out of date. But we’d love to have you update it! You are clearly good enough with English and Polish to be the perfect translator. And that way all the missing translations you reported would be corrected!

Check out our Getting Started thread for info on doing the translation.

    Cheers,
    Leah

    Chris,

Thanks for the instructions so I could see what you meant. I looked into this, and that button is actually translated by WooCommerce itself, not our ticketing plugin. That’s why there is no string for it in the WooCommerce: Tickets .pot file.

The reason it is not translated is because WooCommerce does not have a German translation. However, you could make one, and then you’d be able to have this translated. There are probably some other parts of the WooCommerce plugin that you’ll want translated for use with our plugin. You can read more about translating WooCommerce here.

    Hi jeroenjoosen,

I am very, very sorry about how this has gone. I made a mistake here and I apologize. When we were testing for our 3.2 release we worked on a very similar ticket to fix the translation for Day View. I was mistakenly thinking that the fix for that issue would also correct Week View, and I see now that I was wrong. I confirmed that indeed, Week View is still broken. You are totally right, and this is my fault.

Now that we’ve realized my mistake, we have a #1 priority ticket to fix Week View. Unfortunately, we can’t do that until our next release in December. If you need to find a different calendar to use, I totally understand and I can refund your purchase. Or if you’re willing to stick with us a bit longer, I’d be happy to give you a free plugin or renewal as a way of apology. You also might try using a string-by-string translation plugin like Say What to translate the date in Week View for now.

Thank you very much for reporting that this is still a problem in 3.2. I apologize again for messing this up, and I hope you can forgive me.

    Sincerely,
    Leah

    Hi claudiopomo,

I’m sorry the hotfix didn’t work for you. We’d love to get more information so we can hopefully get it working for you. However, if you need to proceed with a refund, we can do that. Please email the receipt from your purchase to pro (at) tri.be and reference this thread.

    Thank you,

Thanks Briston! I’m going to have one of my colleagues step in here and take a look at that code. Thanks for your patience while we dig into this.

    Hi mastafu,

Thanks for those screencasts. They really helped me understand what the problem is here.

I have confirmed that 3.2 has a bug where the frontend recurring events toggle does not work in most instances. I’ve ticketed this so our developers can take a look and get it fixed for our next maintenance release. Thanks again for your report!

    Hi justin,

As I noted in the other thread, we have just pushed a hotfix for this problem. Please try downloading Eventbrite Tickets 3.2.1 and updating back to The Events Calendar 3.2. That should get everything running smoothly again. If you do still experience problems, please let us know in the thread at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/buy-ticket-not-showing/. Thank you for your patience!

    Best,
    Leah
