MemberHi nicolapenacultural,
Thank you for reporting this. We’ve confirmed it as a bug. But I have good news! We just pushed a hotfix for this problem. Please try downloading Eventbrite Tickets 3.2.1 and updating back to The Events Calendar 3.2. That should get everything running smoothly again. Of course, if you do still experience problems, please let us know. Thank you for your patience while we got this hotfix made and tested!

MemberSorry Briston, the forum doesn’t take pasted code well. Can you use something like pastebin to show us what you used?
Thanks!

MemberHi mastafu,
If you are disappointed with your purchase and want to discuss that privately, you can email us at pro [at] tri.be. But we fixed the problem promptly once it was brought to our attention, and I think that is pretty good customer service.

MemberHi elsie,
Thanks for getting in touch. Our plugin doesn’t have a Recommended Events/Eventos recomendados feature or a Recommended Venues/Lugares recomendados feature built in. Those must have been custom built for you. I suspect that the person who did the customizations made the changes within the plugin files.
As we outline in our Themer’s Guide, changes made directly to the plugin files are overwritten when you update to a new version. You need to do a Template Override to avoid this happening. Unfortunately, unless you had a backup of the customized file(s), there is no way to recover the work.
I’m very sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and I hope you can recover the files. You might try getting in touch with the person who did the customizing and see if they can help. You could also check with your hosting provider to see if they provide backups at that level. Good luck!

MemberHi mastafu,
Are you referring to how the events in Week View sometimes overlap? The Week View is not really designed for people who have many events per day. It works best with fewer events at different times. If you really want to use it for lots of events, you’ll need to do some customizing. But that would be outside of our scope of support. I’d be happy to recommend some developers who could help you.

MemberHi Briston,
Thanks for getting in touch. We’d be happy to help out with your unique events 🙂
Can you tell me a little bit more about what you’re looking for? I’m not sure I completely understand what you mean by a link to the day. Are you saying the you’d like the Month View to only have one event listed, First Friday, and have that link to a Day View which shows all the First Friday events? Or am I misunderstanding?

MemberHey mastafu,
Right now, you can only use the location search for cities and addresses. You can always post in our UserVoice Forum if you’d like to suggest a new feature, like Country search.

MemberHi mastafu,
If you load the Map View without any search criteria, it shows the events in chronological order. However, because you entered a location search, the results are ordered by distance and then by date.
Are you sure you have the Recurring Event Instances or Front-end recurring event instances toggle settings checked? You should see the effects on all List-type event Views (List, Map, and Photo View). Please double check the setting on the backend.

MemberHi Mastafu,
This translation issue was taken care of in the 3.2 release, as I noted in our thread in the Translation Forum. Instead of showing a week number or week ranch, the title on Weeks says “Events for the Week of [date]” You can change what day the week starts on in the general WordPress settings. But at this time it’s not possible to show a different generated title there.

MemberHey mastafu. Soon does sometimes mean weeks, but in this case it means last night 😉 Check your updates page!

MemberHi gtq3,
I’d love to have you work on the WooCommerce: Tickets translation to make these corrections. Check out the Getting Started thread in this forum for details on how that works.
Thanks,

MemberThanks for clarifying mastafu.
I believe we have fixed this in the upcoming 3.2 release. That will be available soon, and should solve this issue. Keep an eye on your Plugins and Updates pages for an available download. And definitely let me know if that works, or if you are still seeing the same issue when running the new code.

MemberHi solddigital,
Great question! You can change the calendar from US English to Australian or UK English, but you’ll need to do a bit of work to get there. There are two ways you could do this-
The first option is for you do do a translation of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO for either UK or Australian English. You can read more about that process in our Getting Started thread. This option would be nice because we could incorporate it into our plugins so other folks could use it as well. And this would be a very fast translation since so much of it would be the same.
The second option is to use a string-by-string translation plugin like Say What? which can translate pieces of a plugin. You’d only need to translate the words that are different, like Organizer.
