ParticipantHi Nova,
Our plugins do work in a multisite environment, but each site is separate. Events are not shared between them, so what you’d like to do isn’t possible they way the plugin is currently designed. You’d basically be required to install the plugin twice.
Sorry we can’t meet your needs at the moment. Is there anything else i can help you with?

ParticipantGlad I could help, Mike. If you have any questions after your purchase, please feel free to ask them over in The Events Calendar PRO forum. They’ll get you fixed up!

ParticipantHi Thomas,
Well that’s a first. Haven’t’ heard about this one before. I’m going to pass this along to one of our more dev-minded folks to have a look. I’m wondering if something changed in the Facebook API, but I’ll let them sort it out.
They’ll take a look and should get back to you soon.

ParticipantHi nakturnal,
We agree that it would be an awesome feature and that’s why we’re working hard on getting it implemented. But it’s just not ready yet. But it will be included in an update when it’s done. Sorry it’s not ready for you now, but stay tuned!
And thanks for your interest!

ParticipantHi Mike,
Well, to be succinct:
1) The search and view types are included with the PRO version out of the box. You can choose the default view type, but they’re all available and can be switched.
2) We are just starting to put together a showcase of sites over at https://theeventscalendar.com/category/products/showcase/. Another place you can look is over in our PRO forum. Often posters include a link to their site at the beginning of the topic. Understand these sites may be broken, since that’s why they’re looking for help on the forum.
Did I answer your questions? Is there anything else I can help you with?

October 7, 2013 at 4:47 pm in reply to: Am I really paying an extra $65 just to have ticketing? #69760Julie Kuehl
ParticipantHi oceanfilm,
You are correct, the Events Calendar PRO plugin does not offer a ticketing function. But both the Eventbrite and WooCommerce Tickets add-ons work with the free version of The Events Calendar plugin. The PRO plugin isn’t necessary unless you require its features such as recurring events or the extra views, among others.
We’re sorry if you don’t like the price point, but we consider it fair given how frequently the plugins and add-ons are updated and the level of support we provide. I hope you can see the value in them.

ParticipantHello Tehillah,
We are sorry to spring the surprise on you! We did our best to let people know about the price increase – through newsletters, a blog post, announcements on social media – but we obviously failed you on that end. The new price unfortunately went live this month and will be in effect for the foreseeable future.
We’re sorry if you don’t like the new price point, but we consider it fair given how frequently it is updated and the level of support we provide. I hope you can continue to see the value of the plugin.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.

ParticipantHello Susan,
There isn’t a way to get to the backend of the demo site, but you can take a look at some screenshots here: https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-wootickets/. But Kelly gave some good advice about looking at the WooCommerce plugin if you want to look under the hood (http://www.woothemes.com/woocommerce/). The tickets are added to events as the events are setup, but once entered, they are managed as a “product” so any functionality that products have would be available with the tickets.
Is there anything else we can help you with?

October 7, 2013 at 4:06 pm in reply to: Can your pro calendar filter by category or tag or both? #69741Julie Kuehl
ParticipantHello Glenn,
I’m not quite sure I understand your question. It is possible to filter by category. We’re even working on an filter bar that should be available soon. (https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-events-filter-bar/)
If you are asking where the information about category or tags are entered, yes, they are entered on the same “page” along with the other event information. You can see a screenshot of the “Add New Event” fields over at https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-events-calendar/ (try the 2nd row, middle one).
Is that what you were asking? Did I answer your question?

ParticipantHi Gerlando,
The Events Calendar, and the Community Events add-on, aren’t designed that way. There’s no “network-wide” view of events possible. Sorry that not going to be an option for you.
Is this something you could approach from another direction? Say custom roles? It’s crossing over into customization, but I’m not sure the plugins or add-ons are going to give you what you want.

ParticipantHi Gerlando,
I believe I understand what you are asking. I think it might be pushing the limits of how our plugin and add-ons are designed though. Our Community Events add-on could be part of a solution https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-community-events/ Perhaps a combination of that along with categories/tags for events would meet your needs. But I’m not sure it would have the robustness you might require in a higher ed setting.
Could you look the Community Events add-on and let me know your thoughts? Does it sound adequate for your use?

ParticipantHi Tania,
Could I ask you to start a new topic over in the Events Calendar PRO forum to ask your question? This area is for pre-sales questions and you’ll get the appropriate service over there.
But in the meantime, maybe this will help? https://theeventscalendar.com/pro-2-0-a-detailed-look-at-custom-recurrence/

ParticipantHi Steven,
Stay tuned. You can always check, or subscribe to, our Release Notes blog https://theeventscalendar.com/category/products/release-notes/ in the meantime. That way you’ll be the first to know!

ParticipantHello izamar,
What you are asking for should be do-able, but it would require customization of the add-on. And since you used the words “possible to easily reorder a form” I might have to say no, not easily, but possible.
We are, however, working on making this much easier in our upcoming 3.1 release, but I can’t say exactly when that will be ready.
Are there any more questions I can help you with?

ParticipantHello Vince,
If I understand correctly, we might have two options for you. And I should add, that neither of these requires you to purchase the PRO version. They work just fine with the free The Events Calendar plugin.
First, colors. There is a plugin that a trusted user built that adds colors to categories that might provide a solution for you (http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/). It adds colors by category, not venue, but you could certainly create a category for each venue to do what you need.
Second, we are working on creating a filter bar that would allow users to narrow the display. While it’s currently in a closed beta, you can find more information at https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-events-filter-bar/. And they’re working hard on getting it released soon.
It sounds like we are very close to having a solution for what you need, but to be clear, the filters bar is not available just yet.
Are there any other questions I can answer for you?

P.S. Love the name Wonky!
