    Hi,

I’m wondering if I purchase the pro version I will be able to have filter options or different colours for per location… here is an image of what I’m trying to achieve but just can’t work out if the plug-in will be able to do it:
    http://cmdv.org/event.png

So I could either have 2 calendars one in each tab or all in one with a filter at the top and at the bottom each of the 3 buttons allowing to filter through location. (I can get away with just displaying the locations in different colours and not having them as buttons just a guide).

If you need to ask me anymore questions then feel free to ask as it may not be clear.

    Thanks

    Vince

    Hello Vince,

If I understand correctly, we might have two options for you. And I should add, that neither of these requires you to purchase the PRO version. They work just fine with the free The Events Calendar plugin.

First, colors. There is a plugin that a trusted user built that adds colors to categories that might provide a solution for you (http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/). It adds colors by category, not venue, but you could certainly create a category for each venue to do what you need.

Second, we are working on creating a filter bar that would allow users to narrow the display. While it’s currently in a closed beta, you can find more information at https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-events-filter-bar/. And they’re working hard on getting it released soon.

It sounds like we are very close to having a solution for what you need, but to be clear, the filters bar is not available just yet.

Are there any other questions I can answer for you?

    Hi Julie,

thanks so much for the reply, sounds very interested indeed. To be honest because I’m doing a project for someone, I like to help those that help me so I will be purchasing a pro version if I can get this to work.

failing the filter do you think I would be able to have 2 versions of the calendar and each be pre filtered? just other calendar plugins had problems where they could only show one per page.

would I be able to have a play with the filters if I bought a pro version just I can’t seem to find it on the site (the link didn’t work 🙁 )

Oh and the name is just a silly one I use hahaha

    Thanks again

Hi, I ended up buying the pro as the widget worked how I needed it to, the only problem is I can’t seem to filter (with buttons) the widget calendar like I can on the big version per categories 🙁

I’d love to be part of the beta team but I guess I’m a little too late on the train for that. If I could just filter through say city/venue that would be exactly what I need!!

    Any pointers would be great.

    Thank you
