ParticipantHi Ken,
If you want to roll back to an earlier version of the plugin, you should be able to click on the Account Central link in the top right corner of this screen and choose Downloads from the menu and have your pick of which version worked for you. You should delete/rename the current version before installing the older one.
I hope that resolves your conflict for the time being.

ParticipantSo are the events I’m seeing at http://toshindo-quebec.com/events/ imported from Facebook? Or did you enter them in WordPress directly? I’m wondering if the difference in the URL ( http://toshindo-quebec.com/events/ != http://toshindo-quebec.com/evenements/ ) is what’s causing the “URL indicated is not valid” message.

November 26, 2013 at 4:56 pm in reply to: Facebook Import Set to Hourly – Adding New Events Instead of Modifying Current #78760Julie Kuehl
ParticipantHi Michael,
You’ve stumbled over a bug that we’ve noticed but not yet been able to fix. Thank you for reporting this. I’ve got a couple of ideas that you can try to see if it helps. First, can you update to the latest version of the plugin(s)? And second, can you change the Import Frequency to something other than hourly? Would daily suffice? The bug seems to only pop up with the hourly imports. If that’s not the case, please let us know.
Give those a try and let’s see if that helps. You’ll probably just have to manually delete the duplicates of the already imported events.

ParticipantHi programmieraffe,
What you’re looking to do is customization of the plugin, which I can’t really help you with. But I can point you to our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) that might have some of the information you’ll need to do what you’re looking for.
One thought I had was it might be easier to just turn off the display of the imported images (you can probably find info on that in our Themer’s Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) but I don’t know if that meets your copyright law requirements.
Good luck and let us know if we can steer you through the resources.

ParticipantHi jfeisabel,
Ah, the black box is if you have the PRO plugin, so never mind about that. I did get a 404 error when I went to that link, but I did see some events at http://toshindo-quebec.com/events/. Have you installed the French translation files (found at https://theeventscalendar.com/translations/)?

ParticipantThanks for that screenshot, elsie. That error comes from two servers not being able to connect. You’ll need to talk to your hosting company to get it resolved.

ParticipantHi Loic,
Hey, if you’ve got a dev available, then I believe everything you asked about is possible with enough skill/effort. We do have a couple of resources they can look through to see what it might take. The first is our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and then there’s our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) which should give a good overview of how to customize the plugin(s).
We do offer an import to iCal as part of the PRO add-on and we do have some French translation files available (https://theeventscalendar.com/translations/) too.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

ParticipantHmmm… the plugin isn’t designed to handle a random recurrence. Can I ask why you need them to be tied together? What are you expecting to happen because they are recurring? Sell tickets to all of the events? Make changes in one and have them reflected in the others? I guess from what you’ve asked, neither of those would be possible.
Am I missing something?

ParticipantThat should be no problem, Andrew. Just install in your test location and set up the license key there so you can get updates as they become available. When you push it live, just take the license key off the test site and move it over to the live site. Your test site will still work, but you won’t be able to get auto-updates there.

ParticipantHi thomasek,
I did get your message and have looked around your site. I’m puzzled myself about what’s going on. I’m going to ask some other members of our team for their thoughts.

November 25, 2013 at 5:03 pm in reply to: How to Upgrade to Release: Version 3.2 Events Calendar Pro and Facebook Importer #78546Julie Kuehl
ParticipantHi updatecontent,
The easiest way to update the plugins is from the WordPress dashboard under the Plugins > Installed Plugins screen. There should be a message there with a link that you can just click to update automatically.
If for some reason that doesn’t work for you, the first thing you should do is BACKUP your site. Then could could rename the plugin folder (for instance from events-calendar-pro to old-events-calendar-pro) and then upload and install the new version either through FTP or the WordPress dashboard.
Does that help? Did it work for you?

ParticipantHi elsie,
Thanks for sending those links. I was able to import events from those sites, so let’s see if we can get it working for you too.
If you go to the Events > Settings > Facebook tab and add, let’s say the teatro information like this http://d.pr/i/s3SE and save it. Then go up to the Events > Import: Facebook screen and verify that the events are checked like this http://d.pr/i/UxCg. If they’re not checked, check the box and click the “Import events” button.
Did that bring the event in for you?

ParticipantHi Benjamin
I can totally understand your frustration at not being able to get in the admin area and give it a test run. I’d love for you to go to our Feature Ideas page (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas) and cast a vote or add it to the list (I gotta believe it’s already there though). That gets it on our radar for development.
Regarding filtering, that *is* something we are actively working on at the moment. We had a “filter bar” that went through beta and it’s getting close to being ready, but unfortunately I can’t provide a specific release date for it. I can tell you that filtering by categories is slated for being included.
Hang tough, a filtering solution is coming!

ParticipantHi Sean
You are right that the drop downs do show all the venues/organizers in the database. There is not a built-in option to limit them based on user. I honestly don’t know how easy it would be to modify the plugin to do what you’re looking for, as we don’t do customizations. But something tells me it would take some code moxie to accomplish that. If you’re interested in exploring it further, we have some relevant information in our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) that could help you figure out what it would take to make it happen.
Let me know if I can point you to any additional information.

P.S. I’m sorry I missed your earlier reply on a different thread! I’m going to close that one out since you were kind enough to ask again here.
