Best way to modify facebook importer plugin?

Hey Tribe-Team,

i want to achieve two things:
1. the facebook importer should not automatically import the event images in the wordpress media library (because of problems with copyright)
2. the facebook import should add the link to the original facebook-event in the description text

what is the best way to modify this without losing all changes on upgrade actions? I’m not very familiar with wordpress development, but i’m experienced in php/mysql.

Hi programmieraffe,

What you’re looking to do is customization of the plugin, which I can’t really help you with. But I can point you to our Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) that might have some of the information you’ll need to do what you’re looking for.

One thought I had was it might be easier to just turn off the display of the imported images (you can probably find info on that in our Themer’s Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) but I don’t know if that meets your copyright law requirements.
