Oh dear Peter, I’m sorry – my last response was in regard to your former issues with the timezone not importing correctly. I got confused! Sorry!
Joyce GraceMemberOur pleasure – of course our plugin shouldn’t crash on people 🙂
Joyce GraceMemberIt’s a great idea, but probably something we won’t be able to get to for a while, since the core function of our plugin is to handle the events themselves. That being said, we are pretty new here, so hopefully as time progresses we’ll be able to add in all these little tweaks 🙂
Joyce GraceMemberHi Fransicso,
You try adding this to your style.css in your child theme folder?
.when {
list-style-type: none !important;
}Joyce GraceMemberHello Becky,
That is very, very strange.Just to be sure, I know you already answered this, but you have definitely deactivated all plugins to rule out a conflict?
Here are some other things to try:
1. Have you tried reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme to see if it’s something with your theme?
2. Try setting your permalinks to ‘postname’ in Settings > Permalinks?
3. Try refreshing your permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks (it does it automatically)?
4. Try increasing the PHP memory for your website: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/?Honestly if I were you and none of the above work, I would try to uninstall and then re-install the plugin. You may want to do this on a test environment to make sure you don’t lose any changes.
Does this happen any where else on your site, or only on the calendar settings?
And you are using the latest version of all our plugins and add-ons?
Joyce GraceMemberHello Abdo, you will need to write us at pro /at/ tri.be and we can issue you a refund.
Sorry it didn’t work out for you!Joyce GraceMemberHello James,
The best way to do this that I can think of is to use WordPress menus, which are highly customizable, and set up a “custom link” in your menu.
The WordPress Menus feature also has the ability to automatically add pages to a menu that you set up. It is probably the most up to date way for doing what you’re trying to do.
That being said, if that’s not what you want, you could try our technical documentation page here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation as well as our Themer’s guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
Those two links should help you find what you’re looking for to customize the code.
Thanks!
August 22, 2012 at 12:42 pm in reply to: How to NOT skip previous and future month in table/grid view (large calendar) #23961Joyce GraceMemberHi Danny,
When I try to view that page I get a “forbidden” message. Can you link to something we can view? I’m not sure what you mean that the calendar skips months (it shouldn’t), but if that is the case, it could be a bug in our system that we need to log and fix.In case you’re trying to customize something, you may want to check out our Themer’s guide, which may help you: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
We also have a technical documentation page here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation
Joyce GraceMemberHello Nathan, I’m very sorry you’re having this problem. In fact we support reps are having it too! It is a known bug that is logged to be fixed on our site. It is very recent – not always like this!
That being said, why don’t you post a new thread with the problem you’re looking to fix and perhaps we’ll be able to help?
Thanks for your patience!
Joyce GraceMemberHello Jonny,
Can you show us a screenshot of what you mean? It might help us understand visually 🙂
That being said, we don’t normally support customizations, but we do try if it is a quick fix.
Have you checked out our documentation pages? That might have what you’re looking for: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
Also we have a Themer’s guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/
Why don’t you give those a go first and let us know what you find there that might make things more specific for us to help you.
Thanks!
Joyce GraceMemberHello Steven,
There have been a lot of updates since 2.0.4. We can only support the latest version of our plugin and add-ons, since a lot of these bugs get fixed as we release new versions. Can you try upgrading to 2.0.8 for both the Events Calendar (free version) and Events Calendar PRO (as well as any add-ons you may be using). Also you’ll need to first update your version of WordPress to the latest release.
It is always wise to create a backup just in case!
Joyce GraceMemberHello Kelly,
The events are going to be stored in your database, so I don’t see why you would lose them if you simply re-activate the plugin after you’ve deactivated it. However, just to be safe, it’s always wise to create a backup of your site.I personally use BackupBuddy, but an easier option for novices to the tech world would probably be VaultPress, since it allows a one-click restore and stores your backups on their server.
Hope this helps!
Joyce GraceMemberHi Joe, You could try the 1-Click Retweet / Share / Like plugin by LinksAlpha. I’ve used it for “regular” posts and if you set it up with their service it will tweet out posts and pages for you automatically.
The thing to know is that events on The Events Calendar are actually posts (they are a custom post type to be exact). So perhaps the 1-Click Retweet plugin will work with Events too. You’ll have to try and do let us know how it goes! I’m sure other users will benefit from it.
The thing I’ve found though with that plugin is that if you are not careful, and accidentally publish something you do NOT want to be tweeted and Facebooked out to the world…well, it can cause mistakes 🙂 BUT, they do have an option where you can uncheck on every page and post if you want it automatically syndicate the post for you to your social networks. It’s just that if you forget to uncheck it, that’s when mistakes happen.
Finally, what I’m not sure of, is if their interface will integrate with the Events Calendar editing pages.
But do try and let me know!
Joyce GraceMemberHello Peter,
After thorough investigation, it was found that this is a Facebook error. Even so, our developers are having a talk on how to fix this. If you want the nitty gritty technical details on why it’s a Facebook error, I can get that over to you, but it’s a lot of long, confusin technical jargon!Once we know more we’ll let you know if there’s a fix! Hopefully it can get solved somehow!
August 22, 2012 at 12:27 am in reply to: Line breaks in event description lost in ical file for Outlook subscribers #23928Joyce GraceMemberHello Andy and Matt. I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I’ve logged this as an issue for our developers to look at and will try to bug them to get you a response soon! Sorry I can’t be of much help 🙁
