I have found a simple way to automate a sidebar navigation to include a page’s child and sibling pages. However, I’d like to for events to be included as a sub-navigation item by making it a child of another.

My hope is that there’s a shortcode that I’m missing which I can just embed in a “calendar” page and make THAT a child of my “news & events” section.

    Hello James,

The best way to do this that I can think of is to use WordPress menus, which are highly customizable, and set up a “custom link” in your menu.

The WordPress Menus feature also has the ability to automatically add pages to a menu that you set up. It is probably the most up to date way for doing what you’re trying to do.

That being said, if that’s not what you want, you could try our technical documentation page here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation as well as our Themer’s guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/themers-guide-to-the-events-calendar/

Those two links should help you find what you’re looking for to customize the code.

    Thanks!
