ParticipantHey Liz,
This is strange. I’ll reach out to a team member tomorrow that has more familiarity with older versions of the plugin to see if he is aware of anything that could be causing this issue after the update from the older version.
As something else that may potentially be causing the issue, does your theme have a “single-tribe_events.php” file that could be controlling the single event display?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey kamahala,
Thanks for following up. When referring to strings, I’m referring to any text that is output by our plugin onto the screen. So this includes “search”, “date”, etc. but not the title, description or other event specific content added by you for the event.
I would suggest reaching out to qtranslate. Again, I’m not sure how the plugin works but also not sure if there is anything further we could do to make our plugin any more translation ready.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Cindy,
I apologize again for the inconvenience. Hopefully we’ll be a good fit for you on a future project. I’ll go ahead and close this thread. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to open a new thread.

ParticipantHey Joerg,
Thanks for following up with us.
Unfortunately this is a customization request that I can’t dig into more deeply here in the forums. The snippet provided in the previous response is intended to be a starting point to help in figuring out the solution. You’ll need to look into your theme and see how it manages the page structure, sidebar, and layout controls to figure out the best way to integrate with the layout provided.
I apologize that I can’t give you a more direct response but hopefully this will help to get you pointed in the right direction.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Catherine,
I apologize, it should be “wp-config.php” rather than “_”. Without this file, your WordPress installation would not be able to connect to the associated database so it should be there. However, it is potentially possible that your host may be blocking access to the file. So, check again with the correct name of “wp-config.php”. If you aren’t able to find it, check with your hosting provider to see if that is something that you do have access to.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Jacques,
If you’re using checkboxes, trying using “url_of_the_calendar/?tribe_eventcategory%5B%5D=6” when linking directly to the filter and see if the the error persists.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Liz,
Took a look at your site again and still noticed the issues on the page like you describe. I’m guessing the “tribe-events” folder is still deleted from the theme?
If so, a couple of quick questions:
- Do you currently have any caching plugins running? If so, does the issue persist when you do a complete purge of all cache?
- Have you checked the theme’s functions.php file to see if there are any references there to “tribe_events” that may be causing this additional information?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh

March 12, 2015 at 9:39 pm in reply to: GoDaddy says website is crashing because of the plugin? #948070Josh
ParticipantHey Magdalena,
To be honest I’m not terribly familiar with the different GoDaddy hosting plans. I just know that many of the lower-end, shared hosting plans aren’t intended for sites with regular traffic and extensive amounts of content (like the large number of WooCommerce products). I’m personally a WPEngine fan but have heard great things about other hosts as well.
My suggestion would be to reach out to GoDaddy about their WordPress hosting and see if they think it would be a good fit for your site. Also, many of the other WordPress specific hosts would also be willing to look at your current usage and help to get you pointed in the right direction for plans that would work with each of their services.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Chauntelle,
Thanks for trying that other code, I’m sorry it didn’t work for you.
Could you send me a link to one of the events that you’re having trouble importing?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Chris,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue to be having. As an initial step, have you followed the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure that this isn’t a plugin or theme conflict?
A couple of other notes/questions that may help in determining the root of this issue:
- What version of WordPress are you currently running?
- What versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are you currently running?
- When testing recurring events, does this happen no matter what the interval you set (weekly, monthly, daily) or does it only happen with this particular “every 4th Monday” type of event.
Let me know if this helps. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Andrew,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue to be having. As an initial step, have you tried following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if there is an issue with an existing plugin or your active theme that is causing the problem? Additionally, have you checked the date format settings under Event Settings > Display tab (https://cloudup.com/cybUQkEW9qj) to ensure that there aren’t any formats added there that might cause this specific output?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey wearegiants,
This is a great question and a good idea.
I’m sure something like this would be possible but would definitely be a customization beyond the realm of what we’re able to provide here in the support forums. If you would like, you could submit a feature request for this on our UserVoice page.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response on this one.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Jason,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
With our Ticketing plugins, you can have multiple events with tickets and a single user can purchase multiple tickets for any event within a single purchase. Unfortunately, at this time, there isn’t a way to directly associate different people for the different tickets. So, in the scenario you describe above, all of the tickets would be associated with the user account that originally purchased the tickets.
We’re working on expanding this functionality but unfortunately don’t have a set timeline for when we’ll be pursuing these.
Let me know if this helps. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Thanks!
