GuestHi,
I would like to buy Pro now, but I can’t even get the free version working. It doesn’t make sense to buy Pro if I can’t get the free version going. There is a conflict between X theme and The Event Calendar, and when I last asked about this, Geoff pointed me to trouble shooting, and closed the post, because I was not a paid customer. Thanks to him, I discovered the theme conflict, and that this is happening with other people here.
In 2014 Josh said to someone, “Thanks for reaching out to us! The fix for the garbled display of the main events page is caused by the section being output as an excerpt. Since this is done by the theme, there will need to be a specific solution provided to fit each theme.” But that’s are far as the communication went.
If I were assured the problem could be overcome, and that someone will point me in the right direction, I’d buy Pro right now. It would seem there are some people running X (a *very* popular theme) with The Event Calendar, so I believe it is possible. As a paid customer, could and would you help with this?

ParticipantHey Cindy,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I understand the frustration with the incompatibility with the X theme. This is something that we’ll be looking into for a possible tutorial topic to address the incompatibility and provide solutions. I’m not sure when something like this will be released but it is on our radar.
Unfortunately, in the meantime we’re unable to provide specific customization requests to address theme compatibility issues here in the forums.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Thanks!

GuestHey Josh, thanks for the reply :-). I am sad as I prefer your plugin, and am willing to pay for it, and extensions. I guess the problem is more of an issue than I hoped. And I have to buy a solution now. I may look here again though.
