    Hi Marco!

    Thank you for reaching out!

Events Calendar Pro is a stellar add-on to bring additional functionality and added features to our core plugin The Events Calendar.  PRO is an excellent way to open up your options with showcasing your events.

As it comes to WooCommerce, you’ll also want to check out our Event Tickets Plus add-on.  This nifty treat brings in the option to “sell” event tickets through WooCommerce, and also helps you with ticket managing (such as check ins, email tickets, etc).  To help paint the picture of the cool functionality you can gain with this, check out our New User Primer (focusing on Managing Attendees, Ticket Sales, etc).

Lots of awesome things you can do with the Events Calendar PRO coupled with Event Tickets Plus.

Does this help answer your question?  When you get a chance, let me know if you have any follow up questions! 🙂

    Have an awesome day!

    Hi Francisco!

For sure, let’s see if we can get this resolved for you.

Couple initial topics to run through with you:

    1. Have you had a chance to set up your Facebook App and input your App ID and Secret Keys? Here is a guide on how to get that part sorted out.
    2. With importing, we have an awesome Knowledgebase article showing how to setup automatic and manual imports of Facebook events.

If the above is all good to go, here’s a couple troubleshooting areas that have helped other users out with importing events from Facebook:

    1. The Facebook event/page must not be set to “Private”
    2. Sometimes Facebook pages are set to public, however the page themselves (or events) are set to “Only 18+” age is allowed.  The page and events must not be restricted to these in order for the import to function correctly.

When you get a chance, please check out the above and let me know if that helps you get those imports working!

    Have a great day!

    Hi Karen

Sounds great! Thank you for following up.

You should be ok with our software moving to 5.4. It really sounds like either the memory limit or perhaps there may be another plugin conflicting somehow. Please keep me in the loop as you make progress. Just a heads up, our threads automatically close out after a few weeks of inactivity, but if that happens, feel free to open up a new thread and we’ll be happy to continue the conversation with you.

    Have an excellent day!

    Hi Benjamin!

Glad to help you get this sorted out.  I’ll go through each topic and point you in the right direction:

1/ I can’t locate the specific ticket information for specific orders. As you’ll see, when you select a ticket, you are required to enter a name. I’m not sure where in the WP-admin you find the names of each person on the ticket. (In the most recent order, we spoke to the person who placed the order and she said that she entered both names – but only one came through.)

Once a user has gone to your website and fully “checked out” or “RSVP’d” (essentially purchasing or completing the RSVP sequence, you’ll be able to go to that event within your Event’s list, clicking on “Attendees.” We’ve got a helpful guide HERE that can clear up a lot of confusion with managing attendees. The specific section for viewing Attendees is right here.

2/ In the checkout, I’d like to have an option for the user to enter their mailing address separately from their billing address and have a box to check if they are the same.

This will depend on your e-commerce engine you’re using (e.g. WooCommerce). Each e-commerce engine comes with their own set of features (and many have add-ons to achieve functionality such as this). I’d dive into features, options and add-ons available with your e-commerce engine to see what is possible during the checkout sequence of a ticket order.

3/ Where do i alter the email being sent out after the order has been completed. I want to note a change to notify people their tickets will be mailed

This also plays into the e-commerce engine as well as Event Tickets Plus. Can you clarify which e-commerce engine you’re using (e.g. WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, etc)?

Option #1 – It sounds like you may be in need of disabling the email Event Tickets Plus sends out and customizing the email your e-commerce engine sends out. (Please review the Disable the email below)
Option #2 – Or you can customize the Event Tickets Plus email altogether. (Please review the Themer’s Guide below)

Basically, your attendees will receive an email from Event Tickets Plus (with ticket information – which sounds like you’d like to disable or customize) and they’ll also receive an order processing and complete email through your e-commerce engine (depending on which you are using).

Here are a couple guides you can use to customize Event Tickets Plus:

    Disable the email
Themer’s Guide (with list on what files you’ll want to potentially customize).

I threw a lot of info at ya. Hopefully this helps point you in the right directions for customizing your user experience! Feel free to reach out any time.

    Have a great day!

    Hi Tony!

Let’s check a few other things to see if something pops up (you might want to check #4 below to start – but all are worth a check):

    1.  I know this may seem redundant, but please make sure you are using the latest updated versions of our plugins as well as WordPress (if you are able to update your WP install). Can you confirm all the plugins and WordPress are up-to-date?  Every now and then plugin versions get overlooked and are sometimes the cause.
    2. Are you running an up-to-date PHP version?  You might want to check with your host to see if your on an outdated PHP version, such as PHP 5.2.
    3. Can you send me the link to the Facebook URL you are trying to import?  Just to make sure, which it sounds like you are familiar with, the importer does not work on private Facebook pages.
    4. Here is a helpful guide to make sure your Facebook API is correctly set up.  This might also be the source of the issue you’re experiencing.
    5. If none of the above solve the issue, please send over your system info (in a private response). You can find this information by going to our guide here. I can see if there is something I spot in the system info if you find the first 3 thoughts don’t pan out.

    Have an excellent night!

    Hi Karen!

It sounds like you might require a more powerful server. Or, often times web hosts (in this case, GoDaddy) will allow you to increase the memory limit on your current server using that php.ini file.

Here are some helpful links regarding this:

Keep in mind that WordPress is a powerful application, and our Calendar only adds to that power. Often times the cheapest hosts out there simply will not accommodate these, especially once you start having a lot of posts or events.

Does this help point you in the right direction? Let me know either way!  I want to make sure you’re all set.

    Have a great night!

    Hi Karen!

Let’s see if we can get this sorted out!

There are two thoughts that immediately come to mind that you can try out:

    1. Definitely check in with your hosting provider. This very well could be a server issue you’re running into.
    2. Do you have any caching plugins installed?  If so, try clearing your cache to see if that resolves the issue.

Please let me know if either of those solves the problem you’re running into.  🙂

    Have a great day!

    Hi Tony

    Welcome to the forums!

Facebook Events is not dependent of Events Calendar PRO to be installed in order to work, however with it being installed and out of date, it sounds like there may be a conflict occurring between the two.

Please go ahead and update the Events Calendar PRO when you have a chance and let us know if that solves the issue.  You’ll need an activate license in order to receive the updates (that’s most likely the reason you were not able to see the update link). Also, make sure all of our plugins are up to date as well (e.g. The Events Calendar and Facebook Events).

You can review our Manual Update guide to get some extra tips in case you have an activate license and are still not seeing the option to update within your WordPress install.

Reach out any chance you get once you’ve had the opportunity to update the plugins.

    Have an excellent day!
