BlockedHey Penny,
Thanks for the follow up! I’ve had a look at your site but I’m not entirely sure I understand what you’d like to change. Can you be more specific about where you’re seeing the content aligned to the right?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

BlockedHi David,
Great to hear that plugin is useful for you! And yes, the core Events Calendar and the Pro version should be activated together.
About the widget problem you’re having, I’m not sure how you’ve created it. Do you mean that you registered a new sidebar area in your theme, or, perhaps that you added the Events Calendar widget to one of your theme templates?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

BlockedHi Penny,
Welcome to the forums! 🙂 Sure, you can certainly add your own custom style to the admin area.
I would approach it by first creating a new stylesheet in your theme. I recommend using a child theme for this so that any customization you add won’t get overwritten by a theme update. The stylesheet is where we’ll add all of our custom style. You can name your stylesheet something like admin-events.css.
Next you’ll want to load that stylesheet in your admin area. To do this, we’ll add a function to your theme’s functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/jamigibbs/534323961cfc200f5cb1
Now you can add any customizations you’d like to your stylesheet. For example, to make the inputs and selectors larger, we can do something like:
https://gist.github.com/jamigibbs/157b347a958b39023761
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else.

BlockedHi Mike,
It’s great to hear from you again and thanks for getting in touch about those warning messages. I think I can help sort it out. First I want to mention that the Events Calendar plugin does create a number of soft 404s, mostly due to events not being present on Day Views but we do have a small plugin you can install that will remove them for you. You can download it it here and install it as is.
Let me know if that helped!

BlockedHey Paul,
Thanks for checking out the Events Calendar! There are a few ways you could go about accomplishing that but I think the simplest way, without having to dive into the code, would be to look into using the Event Rocket plugin. This plugin works alongside the Events Calendar Pro to give you access to shortcodes which you can place in any page of your site.
Have a look at the FAQ page which gives some examples of the types of content you can display with the shortcodes. I think displaying a specific category might do the trick here.
Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else.

BlockedHi David,
Thanks for the update! That’s a relief that all of your data is still there. The plugin you linked to appears to have been developed by a 3rd party (it’s not an official Modern Tribe plugin) so they will have a great deal more knowledge about how it’s integrating with The Events Calendar. I do see they’ve noted it’s for the core (free) plugin version and there’s no mention that it’ll work with Pro.
I have some great news though! One of our amazing developers has put together a plugin that will integrate with the Pro version and give you shortcodes to customize the event outputs. It’s called Event Rocket and it’s also free. 🙂
Have a look at the Event Rocket plugin and let me know if it helps.

BlockedHi TK,
Setting your max_execution_time and default_socket_timeout to 300 (5 minutes) should be a good place to start.
You mentioned that this issue didn’t start until you updated to the latest version (3.9.4) so before we try anything else, let’s go ahead and roll you back to the 3.9.3 version. That version should be available in your downloads page.
It’s also important that we check the import with just Modern Tribe plugins activated so make make sure you deactivate the other plugins for now too.
Let me know how that goes.

BlockedHi Juan,
That’s a great question. The Eventbrite add-on works a little different in that all of the ticket purchases are being made on the Eventbrite site itself so your users will be able to view the events they’ve registered to under their account on the Eventbrite website.
Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else.

BlockedThanks Ray!
As for the events RSS feed, check out this tutorial that goes into a little more detail about it:

Hopefully that will get you started in the right direction.

BlockedHello Juan!
Thanks for checking out The Events Calendar! I’m happy to help out. In order for a user to sign up for an event, you’ll want to look into using one of our ticketing add-ons. (These will work with just the core Events Calendar plugin, by the way.)
With one of those add-ons, your users will be able to access their account or purchase history page which will list all the ticket purchases they’ve made. Here’s an example of a ticket purchase made with the WooCommerce add-on:

BlockedHi Paul,
Welcome to our support forum! It’s great to meet you. 🙂
I’ve had a look at your events calendar page and I can see what you mean. I’d like to try to run through some preliminary checks to see if we can narrow down the root cause. Go ahead and first switch to the Twenty Thirteen theme, disable all plugins except Tribe Events plugins, and refresh the events calendar page. Can you let me know if you’re still having the same issue after doing that?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

BlockedHi David,
Welcome to the forums! I’m happy to help get things sorted out here. Can you let me know which calendar shortcodes plugin you’ve downloaded? When you said that your data is gone, do you mean that this happened after you activated that shortcodes plugin?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

BlockedHi Katie,
I’m glad to hear you were able to get your first widget issue resolved. I’m happy to help out with the positioning too. Give this CSS a try:
.tribe-mini-calendar-event, .tribe-events-widget-link { float: left; }Let me know how that goes or if you need any more help with it.
Kind Regards,
JamiJami
BlockedHey Nicola!
It’s great to hear from you. Hope you’ve been well. 🙂 The template for the calendar view events is:
the-events-calendar/views/month/single-event.php
There are also instructions included in that template to help you customize the tooltip display as well.
Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else.
Kind Regards,
Jami -
