ModeratorCan you both install/activate a plugin such as Easy WP SMTP and see if that helps?
Let me know how it goes 🙂

ModeratorHey Jennifer,
Glad to hear you’re on the right track 🙂
You can remove lines 78-89 from the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/modules/datepickers.php and that will remove the end date/time field from the community event submission form. You can also delete the entire contents of the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/modules/recurrence.php and that will remove the ‘Recurrence Rules’ section. Remember to save them as recommended in our Themer’s Guide to avoid losing changes.
You could also create custom templates overriding the views which have the end date/time removed/commented out.
I hope this all helps and let me know if you have any more questions!

ModeratorHey Jennifer!
Thank you for reaching out 🙂
To make any of those customizations, you can do so via template overrides as explained in our Themer’s Guide or using CSS. I typically use this YouTube Video trick to help out with CSS. If you need any specific help, feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
What would be the best/easiest way to accomplish this? For example, keep the end time visible and set it to populate to whatever time the user selects for the start time?
Forgive me if I’m confused, but you should be able to set the start time and end time to the same time (let me know if this makes sense). If I’ve confused you, try and send over screenshots of what you’re looking to do and I’d be happy to take a look.
Thanks again and welcome to the forums.

ModeratorHi and welcome back,
I see you’ve posted recently on the same issue. As Brook mentioned, we’ve got a logged bug aimed to address this shortfall by the ‘Search’ functionality. I don’t have a workaround until we can come up with a fix in an upcoming maintenance release, but keep your eyes tuned to your wp-admin and theeventscalendar.com/blog for release info.
Thanks for your understanding and please feel free to open a new thread if you have any more questions or come across any other concerns.
Cheers!

ModeratorHey Stuart,
Welcome to the forums and thank you for choosing Event Tickets Plus! If you wouldn’t mind, send over a link and I’ll do my best to accommodate. It looks like you’re using the Avada theme which has custom styles built in, so I’d recommend also contacting the theme author for advice.
Thanks again and have a great day.
Cheers!Hunter
ModeratorHello and welcome 🙂
Would you mind reverting back to the default WP theme and deactivating all other plugins as outlined in our Testing for conflicts guide? I did a quick check of our logged bug reports and I don’t see anything relating to the issue you’re experiencing.
Let me know how it goes and have a good day.
Cheers!Hunter
ModeratorHello,
Thank you for reaching out! Can you please confirm if the issue still occurs after reviewing our Testing for conflicts guide?
Let me know what you find out and have a good Thursday.
Cheers!Hunter
ModeratorHello 🙂
Welcome to the forums! Thank you for being so thorough and including your System Information and screenshots. Let’s see if we can figure this out.
Do the events appear in the back end of the site? If you revert back to the default WP theme and deactivate all other plugins other than ours, do the events display correctly?
Thanks again and keep me updated with your findings.
Cheers!Hunter
ModeratorWelcome back,
My apologies, I didn’t scroll up far enough and forgot I had already asked for it! We just put out a new release which had some fixes for recurring events. Can you update to the latest version and try replicating the problem? I know it might take a bit of time to see the results, so I can keep the thread open until we see if the issue has been resolved.
If possible, can you set up a test environment on a subdomain using the default WP theme and only our plugins active? You’ll then need to create the event with the same Time & Date settings and see if the random exclusions are being generated.
Let me know if you have any specific questions and I’d be happy to address them. I just took another quick look at the logged bug report and no similar instances have come through. Let me know how it goes and again, thanks for the patience while we try and figure this out.
Cheers!

ModeratorNo worries, I’ll keep the thread open until we learn more! Keep me posted 🙂

ModeratorWelcome back,
I wish I had a more thorough answer as to why this issue was occurring, but I’m glad to hear it’s at least working for the time being! Feel free to open a new thread if you come across any more questions or concerns. Have a great weekend!

ModeratorHey Hill,
We’re really sorry about the recurrence issue! We do our best to test for any issues before releasing, but they don’t call them bugs for nothin’ 🙂
Thank you for your patience and understanding on it though! We did put out a notice out on the 11th regarding the issue and it includes a way to automatically delete the events that were unnecessarily created. I understand for some users (such as yourself), it was a bit too late. So I must apologize again!
Thanks again for working with me on the issue and feel free to create a new thread if anything else pops up. Take care and have a good upcoming weekend!
Hunter
ModeratorThanks for the update! I’ll close this out but feel free to create a new one if anything else comes up. Cheers!

ModeratorHey Margie,
If possible, would you so kindly create a new WP installation in a subdirectory, such as http://www.theoldgallery.org/testsite, with nothing but TEC+ECP and ping us when it’s up and ready. Let me know if you’re able to accommodate my request and thanks for working with me on the issue!
Take care 🙂
