GeorgeJanuary 29, 2016 at 7:12 am in reply to: I am getting the following when I save my License Key – Sorry, key validation se #1064475George
ParticipantHi Chris,
Sorry about that – at this point, however, the site should be back up and there are no reports of this issue at present. So I would recommend undoing the changes I originally recommended, and then just trying out the license validation/activation again.
If issues persist, you should contact your webhost to make sure that your server can make remote requests correctly.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Emiliano,
Thanks for reaching out!
Just to be clear, do you mean that your goal is literally so that a person can never by just one, three, or five tickets for example? But only tickets in multiples of two?
If so, this is not possible with the plugins at this time. It would require an extensive bit of custom coding. We unfortunately cannot help with custom coding, but let me know if you can confirm that my above summary of your goals is accurate.
If so, I will try to tinker around with the code a bit and see if I can recommend a solution or some ideas at least.
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey David,
This is technically possible to achieve, but would require extensive code customization 🙁
We unfortunately cannot help with code customization, even for users that have premium licenses.
Speaking of premium licenses – your email does not seem tied to any premium licenses here, and so I will close up this thread. This forum is our “Pre-Sales Questions” forum, we cannot field technical support requests here or customization requests like this one.
If you do have a premium license, then apologies for this; you should log into the account to which those licenses are registered on this site and then post any other support questions you have from that account in a premium support forum.
For now, you can post any other questions in our free support forums at http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
Best of luck with your project,
GeorgeJanuary 29, 2016 at 6:54 am in reply to: No response to formal request for non-profit license #1064464George
ParticipantHey Allee,
I don’t see any entries from multiple weeks ago – our oldest applications are only a few days old. What organization did you submit to the program? I will look to see if our Spam filter erroneously labeled the submission as something or something like that.
Real sorry for the trouble and the delay on this – it seems like there’s a technical issue here that has prevented the submission from getting to us, because as I said the oldest applications are only a few days old.
Let me know the organization name and I’ll take a closer look in our application system.
Thank you!
GeorgeJanuary 29, 2016 at 6:50 am in reply to: Using Event Tickets Plus with Events Calendar Non-Pro Version #1064461George
ParticipantHey @TeeMac,
The most recent version of Event Tickets Plus is 4.0.4.
I would recommend ensuring your license key is entered and valid, and that your other The Events Calendar add-ons are all at their latest version, too.
I will close this thread since it was originally Philip’s and his original query was addressed here. If you have further issues, open up a new thread so we can tend to your problems without Phil getting a bunch of email notifications about thread updates unrelated to him 🙂
Cheers!
GeorgeJanuary 28, 2016 at 6:35 pm in reply to: Trying to activate Community Events plugin takes down website #1064092George
ParticipantThanks for this information!
3.12.1 is quite outdated, so I would recommend trying to get that up-to-date before doing much else. To be sure that the update is accurate, I would recommend deleting – not just “deactivating”, but deleting – Community Events from your wp-admin’s Plugins page.
This will not erase any event or website content or data, it will only erase the 3.12.1 Community Events files which is the goal.
Once deleted, install latest version of Community Events on your site and try activating it.
You can get the latest files from http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
The latest version at the time of my writing this is 4.0.5. Install and activate this after deleting the old code, and see if anything improves! 🙂
Thanks for your patience with this.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantI appreciate your elaboration on this Keith. I’m sorry to bear the news that what you are trying to do would require some extensive code customization which exceeds the scope of support we can provide. Check out the “Product Support” section of this page for more information on this → http://theeventscalendar.com/terms
I’m sorry about this! What you are trying to do is technically possible, and it’s a feature we are hoping to include in the plugins as a new feature in one of our upcoming releases. But at this time it requires a hefty amount of customization 🙁 I’m sorry Keith.
Please let me know what you think about this and if there’s anything else that I could try and help with.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for reporting this Hans. While it is true that we cannot do much in terms of actually editing the translations, we can ensure that everything is properly translatable, and does not conflict with other translations.
I do not find “archief” in any of my own versions of our mo and po files, so that is an odd find. I’m sorry to admit that I don’t have any immediate explanations for this! But it’s not in our currently-released mo and po files, and so we will have to investigate a bit on this to ensure it’s erroneously on the translations site or anything either.
Thanks for reporting this!

January 28, 2016 at 6:13 pm in reply to: Venues and Organizations under Dashboard post type #1064084George
ParticipantHey Jennifer,
Thanks for clarifying this. This is odd behavior that I cannot reproduce, and unfortunately it sounds like either custom configuration of other plugins, or custom coding on your site, is the cause of these issues.
To help investigate if this is the case, I would recommend you run through the complete set of steps in this article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Try to reproduce your problems with publishing/editing/etc. that you described in your first post after EACH STEP in the process linked above.
What do you find?
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Keith!
Apologies for the delayed reply here.
Can you elaborate a bit more on exactly what you are trying to pull off here? You say, “What would be the best way to achieve this?” – can you clarify what it is specifically that you are trying to achieve?
I can hopefully offer some insight from there – thank you Keith!

January 27, 2016 at 12:21 pm in reply to: The Events Calendar won't update from 3.12.3 to 4.0.5 #1063367George
ParticipantHey Erik,
Really sorry to hear about this – if you are getting an error that The Events Calendar is “already up to date”, but its version number is clearly not up-to-date, then this means there is a mix-up of files for The Events Calendar on your site and a “clean installation” of the plugin is required.
What does this mean?
Well, fortunately, if you delete The Events Calendar none of your event data will be erased. So it’s actually a rather simple and straightforward process – definitely a bit more annoying than the normal methods! And I’m sorry about the added steps here. But here’s what you would do:
• Backup your site and database completely. It is true that deleting The Events Calendar will not delete event data, but backing up before anything like this is still a smart precaution. I recommend that you do not perform the next steps without a backup of your site and database. You can do so at your own risk but it’s always smart to back things up!
• Once you have a backup, delete The Events Calendar from your site.
• Go to http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar and download a fresh copy of 4.0.5
• Install this fresh copy of The Events Calendar on your site.
• Activate the plugin – if errors come up again, let me know what those errors are and we can keep working on this from there.
I’m really sorry about this extra step, but this process normally resolves these issues and so I hope this helps.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Ben,
I do not think our plugins have the features you need. We have plugins to sell tickets to events, for sure, but you specify in your post “No tickets, just seats”.
Can you elaborate a bit on what the difference between these things is? Between tickets and seats?
One option that might work for you is the “RSVP” option in our free plugin “Event Tickets” – http://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets
Since this is free, you can try this out with The Events Calendar firsthand and see if it is usable for your project – the RSVP feature allows folks to “register” for an event, but there is no ticket purchase process or checkout process, and no requirement for something like WooCommerce to be installed.
Let me know what you think!
Cheers,
