ParticipantHey Neil,
Thanks for reaching out.
At this time, the best way to do this is to literally just create one event per event instance. If there is not pattern of continuity or recurrence, then our recurrence engine will likely have a tough time accommodating it.
Would you be interested in sharing more information about a specific event you’re trying to configure? What are all of the dates on which it recurs? Despite my comments above, our recurrence engine does have a “custom” recurrence feature and your event’s configurations may be supported by Events Calendar Pro’s recurring events feature. I’m happy to take a look at your event’s dates and see if I can recommend a specific set of recurrence rules.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Lisa!
Thanks for reaching out.
I would like our customers to be able to read the event details and then select which day they would like to buy a ticket for their child to see Santa on. How and would this be possible?
☝️ There are two main ways to achieve this:
1. You could make one single event whose start time is the first day at the starting time of the event, and whose end time is 6 days later on the last day at the ending time of the event. Then, you can add six different ticket options to this single event. One called “day one”, one called “day two”, etc. — then folks can buy the ticket for the day or days they’d like, and you can manage things that way.
2. Alternatively, you could make 6 different events: one for each of the six days. On each event, then, you would just have one ticket option. So to by tickets for Day 2, folks would go to the event for day 2 and but tickets on that event.
I hope this helps!

ParticipantThanks for reaching out, Chris—I’m sorry to hear about these issues.
To get started here, I will address your questions in reverse order. You ask about adding fields to events. In Events Calendar Pro, yes, you can add additional fields—please consult the guide here to learn how to do this ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-additional-fields/
Let’s focus on your recurrence issues first for now—if you have further questions about Additional Fields, we can come back to those once the recurrence problems are fixed.
In regards to those recurrence problems, to help us get started on the investigation here can you share a screenshot of the “Time and Date” section of the edit screen for this event? To clarify, this “Time and Date” section is where the recurrence rules are configured. So for the event here that is not recurring correctly, share a screenshot of the complete “Time and Date” section to show its complete recurrence configuration. Here is an example of what a “Time and Date” screenshot would look like → https://cldup.com/JLJmZjrBFx-3000×3000.png
I’ll take a closer look at the details and we can go from there!
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks for updating this thread, Jens — glad to hear that you’ve come up with a workaround. Your method is a good one, because at this time our plugins unfortunately don’t provide any features that do this.
Open a new thread any time if other issues or questions arise. In the meantime, best of luck with your project!

ParticipantHey James,
Thanks for reaching out!
This specific aspect will be possible with the very next release of Events Calendar Pro, which is coming in the next few weeks:
I don’t know if I can show a full calendar on a page with a short code filtered by category
Check out this article to learn more about those forthcoming features ? https://theeventscalendar.com/a-look-at-whats-coming-in-our-4-3-release/
This is already possible:
if I can filter the RSS feed by category.
The way category-specific feeds work is, for example, let’s say this is your events page → http://example.com/events
If you want just events in the category “concert”, the link is → http://example.com/events/category/concert/
If you want the feed of just “concert” category events, the link is → http://example.com/events/category/concert/feed
So you can link folks to those category-specific feeds.
I hope this information is helpful!

ParticipantHey Pau,
Thanks for reaching out!
Your timing here is quite good, because we are finally introducing the ability to add calendars anywhere with our very next release.
The next release is version 4.3, and includes a shortcode that will generate full calendar views! 😀
If all goes to plan, this version should come around the first week of October—so it’s coming soon. If you would like to learn more about this release and its features, check out this article here ? https://theeventscalendar.com/a-look-at-whats-coming-in-our-4-3-release/

ParticipantHey Hayatu,
Thank you for reaching out!
We unfortunately don’t have any features of our own plugins that add or generate certificates. 🙁 I don’t know of any other plugins that do this, either.
You may be able to find a customizer who could build the feature for you.
Sorry to disappoint!

ParticipantHey Tim,
Thanks for reaching out.
This is actually not a simple thing to do, at least from a coding perspective, and so thus far our products have lacked this ability.
However, in our very next plugin update—version 4.3, which should be arriving in the first week of October if all goes to plan—you will be able to put a calendar anywhere you want with a new shortcode called [tribe_events].
If you would like to read more about what’s coming in 4.3, check out this article here ? https://theeventscalendar.com/a-look-at-whats-coming-in-our-4-3-release/
If you would like to learn more about workarounds that allow you to insert calendar content into posts or pages at this time, until the 4.3 release arrives, check out this article here ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/inserting-calendar-content-post-page-content/
I hope this helps!

ParticipantHey Ben,
Thanks for sharing your code workaround here.
If you modify core plugin code, you are correct that the code will be overwritten the next time the plugin itself is updated. However, since your custom code is using a filter, you should be able to place this filter in your theme’s functions.php file or in a custom plugin of your own and it will NOT be lost upon an update of Events Calendar Pro.
Now, in regards to the actual issues here, what you are reporting with your iCal feeds is not a known bug. There may be some simple configuration options on your site that are causing the mismatched times.
One of the main reasons folks pay for Events Calendar PRO or any of our premium add-ons is for the customer support. I understand that you might be frustrated at this point, but Hunter’s questions above are actually important because, like I mentioned, there is not a known bug here and we want to make sure that we rule out a bug (or unearth one so that we can fix it!)
Would you like to proceed with the support process here? If you’re happy with your code solution for now, and want to close the topic, that’s fine. But Hunter and I are both looking into the time-shift with your iCal feeds and are happy to continue doing so.
With all that being said, if you DO want to continue on the support process here:
1. Can you temporarily remove the “fix” code you posted here? Make a backup of this code, of course, so that you can re-add it if need be. But for now—temporarily—remove it.
2. Can you please confirm how this /subscribe.ics URL is generated? Just curious—this URL is generating the same ICS data as the “Export Month’s Events” link on the actual /calendar/ page, so I’m not saying there’s a problem here. Just curious about how this /subscribe.ics URL is being generated on your site.
3. Once you’ve removed the code, what do you find if head to Settings → General in your site’s wp-admin and temporarily set the timezone to UTC+0? Once you do this, try importing ICS events and let us know what you find.
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Chuck,
Thanks for patience here.
One thing that has come up in our investigation has been the following error in the JavaScript console when viewing your site:
tribe-events-ajax-calendar.js?ver=4.2.7:496 Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to execute 'pushState' on 'History': A history state object with URL 'http://coloradocprpros.com/events/2016-11/' cannot be created in a document with origin 'https://coloradocprpros.com' and URL 'https://coloradocprpros.com/events/2016-10/'.What this error means is basically that some of your domain is configured to use HTTPS, while other parts of it are not. This gets blocked in many browsers and is preventing the AJAX functionality in some browsers as you and your visitors have been reporting.
To get this fixed, I would recommend contacting the WP Engine support team about the application of your site’s SSL certificate. Did WP Engine set up the certificate? Did you do it manually?
In either case, WP Engine should be able to tell what it is about the SSL configuration that is creating this problem. It may be a simple fix.
I’m really sorry to recommend contacting another support team, Chuck — I do think that pursuing this route about the SSL configuration on your site will lead to a resolution here, though.
Please let me know what you think!

ParticipantHey Larry,
Thanks for reaching out.
None of our plugins add breadcrumbs, so those breadcrumbs are coming from your theme or from another plugin on your site.
With that in mind, your best course of action here is to contact the developers or support team of that plugin/theme that renders the breadcrumbs. They may be able to identify why this is happening and may be able to offer a true fix.
One thing I can recommend that may help is a bit of CSS to help hide the extra “events” text in the breadcrumbs. I wrote this bit of custom code for you—try adding this code to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file:
body.post-type-archive-tribe_events .breadcrumb-trail .trail-end,
body.post-type-archive-tribe_events .breadcrumb-trail .trail-end + .sep {
display: none !important;
}
Contact the developers of the breadcrumb code for a more complete solution—I hope this helps in the meantime!

ParticipantHey John,
Thanks for reaching out.
Custom coding would unfortunately be required here, and while we cannot help out with custom coding, I can happily at least try to point you in the right direction.
Just to be clear, do you use WooCommerce as your eCommerce platform? Or Easy Digital Downloads, Shopp, etc…?
They each have a different approach to mailing the “Order Received!” messages, so I just want to make sure I address the right plugin.
Thanks!
