Multiple Full Calendars with separate RSS feeds

I have a client looking for some specific calendar functionality.
They have multiple basketball teams which they support. They want each team to have their own calendar and when events are added, for it to automatically email anyone subscribed to that calendar.

So, if Team A adds an event, it would get sent to the Team A mailing list and show up on the Team A calendar. Team B would have a separate calendar, separate events and a separate mailing list.

I’m thinking I might be able to use categories for this and mailchimps RSS campaign. But, I don’t know if I can show a full calendar on a page with a short code filtered by category, and if I can filter the RSS feed by category.

Could you let me know?

This is already possible:

if I can filter the RSS feed by category.

The way category-specific feeds work is, for example, let’s say this is your events page → http://example.com/events

If you want just events in the category “concert”, the link is → http://example.com/events/category/concert/

If you want the feed of just “concert” category events, the link is → http://example.com/events/category/concert/feed

So you can link folks to those category-specific feeds.
