ParticipantThanks for this, Tim!
You say, “I have also tried deactivating all plugins and reverting to the default theme, which doesn’t help.” To be clear, what I would recommend for this process is to first put your site in this state:
• All plugins are deactivated except for only The Events Calendar, Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and WooCommerce.
• A default theme is active.
☝️ Once your site is in this state, then make a test event with some test tickets.
Buy these test tickets: for real, I mean, so that i.e. you’re not using the 100%-off coupon code trick.
In this state, with this event and ticket that are created after putting your site in this “troubleshooting mode”, does anything improve with your issues?
Thank you!

ParticipantHi Joe,
Thanks for testing things and reporting your findings. I cannot reproduce any issues with this behavior, and we don’t have any other reports of this behavior, so this seems to be clearly caused by WP-Types.
Have you opened a support thread with them? If so, what has their diagnosis been thus far?
We unfortunately can only provide very limited insights into other plugins, so I’m afraid to admit that I don’t know why WP-Types is breaking things here.
Please do keep us posted on what the WP-Types have to say about these issues!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Tim,
I noticed that your site’s version of Event Tickets Plus is 4.2.6; the most current version is 4.3.1.
Before any other steps can be taken here, please update Event Tickets Plus to 4.3.1. (You can get fresh files any time from here: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/)
Once you do this, do some test purchases with PayPal standard—does anything improve with these issues?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey @worldgoldskills,
Thanks for reaching out.
Part of writing custom code is maintaining it over time as the general code bases on which it builds change. This is one of the reasons we ourselves do not offer support for writing, debugging, or maintaining custom code for folks (read more here).
With this in mind, I’m sorry to bear this news, but yes, you yourself would unfortunately debug and maintain your own custom code now and for however long into the future you continue to use it.
Now, with that being said, if you can post your custom code into a Gist at http://gist.github.com, then share a link to that Gist here, I will attempt to look through it and identify anything that is outright problematic.
If your custom code is one file, post the whole, un-edited file into a Gist. If it’s multiple files, make multiple Gists. And so on…I will do my best to try and spot a problem here! 😀
Thanks,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Will,
Thanks for reaching out. This is an interesting idea and it should be fairly simple to query for events of a certain tag, then include those in an email. (Check out this Knowledgebase guide for querying for events, for example → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/)
You would have to use custom coding, of course, which is outside the scope of support even for folks with a premium license (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/). But it is possible.
When it comes to specific plugins or apps to enable this, there are many options and none that we specifically recommend or discourage. MailPoet is a popular WordPress-powered email app, but there are also great WordPress integrations available via MailChimp/Mandrill, Campaign Monitor, SendGrid, and more.
I hope this information helps you move forward with your project!

ParticipantHey Sebastian,
Thanks for reaching out.
Our plugins unfortunately do not currently the ability to sell “hard” tickets to some users, and e-tickets to others.
With our plugins, the only thing possible is that when a user buys a ticket, they get an email of the ticket. They can print it if they would like.
Sorry to disappoint!
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.

ParticipantHi Susan,
Sorry to hear this!
What is the specific domain name on which you get the “your license key is out of installs” error message?
Thank you!

ParticipantHi Kelsey,
We monitor the free forums and do official forum passes once per week. In these forum passes, unfortunately not every thread gets responded to.
You can list questions here if you’d like! (We do not offer support via email.)

ParticipantHi Diane,
We unfortunately are not able to provide help with customizing things, as elaborated upon in our support policy here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
If you need to write custom CSS on your site, definitely check out a [free!] tool like Firebug if you use FireFox, or the Developer Tools for either Safari or Chrome. They have “Inspector” tools that let you zoom right over the element you’d like to change, which makes the process much easier.
You could also hire a professional developer to do this for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHi Wendy,
Thanks for reaching out.
On another licensing matter, I’ve got an old version of events calendar pro that’s not connected to any sites, and is showing as “expired.” on my licenses page. I would like to completely remove that version from my account
I have removed this license from your account. 🙂
Until recently I was able to use my license key on both my password-protected dev and live site, but recently I find that I’m getting an error message on the dev site: too many installs.
Personal Licenses cannot be used on more than one site. I’m a bit puzzled as to how you’ve been able to use it on both sites for so long! But it can only be active on one site at a time.
I need the community events data to test on the dev site, but I don’t want to turn it off on the live site. There’s only one slot under community events on my license key page, showing the live site. Obviously I don’t want to turn this off.
☝️ To be clear, if you deactivate a license, it does not affect the functionality of the software or the integrity of the event data in any way! 😀 So you can remove the license key and still test without issues.
License keys simply sign up a domain name for premium support and auto-updates.
I hope the information above helps!
Please check out this Knowledgebase article here for tips on using one license for both a dev and live site ? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-for-your-live-and-dev-sites/
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHi Michaela,
Thanks for reaching out. Can you clarify what you are referring to here?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Joe,
Thanks for reaching out.
In your post you say, “If I deactivate the Views plugin built by WP-Types, the issue resolves.”
This is indicating that code within the WP-Types plugin itself is hindering things here, so I would recommend opening a support thread with the WP-Types folks about why their plugin might be acting up here.
Please do keep us posted on what they say!
In the meantime, I’m wondering:
1. Can you share what your site’s Permalinks settings are? These are visible in your wp-admin in Settings → Permalinks. Are they set to /%postname%/, for example?
2. You say, “Running the same setup on another site (www.alabamabirdingtrails.com) I do not have an issue.” Is this site hosted on WP Engine, like http://www.tourwestalabama.com is?
3. If you leave WP-Types active and do all of the “Flush permalinks” steps listed on this article, do you get any improved behavior? → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fixing-http-404-errors/
Thank you!
