Can't upgrade Events Calendar Pro; it get licence error

I’m trying to upgrade to :
The Events Calendar
Deactivate | Settings | Calendar
The Events Calendar is a carefully crafted, extensible plugin that lets you easily share your events. Beautiful. Solid. Awesome.

Version 4.3.1.1

It tells me: “There is new version of The Events Calendar PRO available but your license key is out of installs. Visit the Events Calendar website to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.”

I just bought the licence in September.

The problem i’m trying to fix is that recurring events functions seems not to be working, so I’m trying to upgrade to see if that will fix it, but can’t upgrade. Help please.

What is the specific domain name on which you get the “your license key is out of installs” error message?

Hi George,

the domain name is myalzheimersstory.com or nhcurling.com; I think my account is in name of myalzheimersstory.com but the site where the problem is is nhcurling.com

I’m not sure. My developer is AWOL and I’m an extreme novice.

I’m also afraid now to upgrade as I see people are having so many issues with sites crashing. I don’t want my site to crash, especially given developer is AWOL.

I know nothing about cpanels php blah blah.

Thanks for your followup. Just clarify, all I’m trying to figure out is:

• Do you see the “out of installs” notice you report when you are in the Admin dashboard of myalzheimersstory.com ?

• Or do you see the “out of installs” notice you report when you are in the Admin dashboard of nhcurling.com ?

If you see the “out of installs” notice in the Admin dashboard of a different website, then what is the URL to that website ?

The Problem

You have a Personal License of Events Calendar Pro, which means it can only be used on one website.

I took a look in your account to see where your license was used. Now, above you say, “I don’t have the events on myalzheimersstory.com”, but your Personal License key for Events Calendar Pro is currently being used on myalzheimersstory.com

So if you try to use it on another site, you’ll get the “out of installs” notice because it’s only allowed on one site.

The Solution

To fix this, head to http://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys. You will be able to see a “Disconnect Now” link next to your Events Calendar Pro license key.

Use the “Disconnect Now” button there to disconnect your license key from myalzheimersstory.com.

Then enter the license key on nhcurling.com, and you shouldn’t have errors.
