Help in styling the Photo view in twentyfourteen, please

I am not much of a coder. I would like my photo view calendar at http://naturecoaster.com/events/ to span the white space of the theme AND have 4 columns instead of 3. I have the back end display settings set to full style, default events theme. The Stylesheets and Page Templates page makes my head hurt, although I admit to being tired as I write.

Can I get specific instructions on how to make these 2 things happen.

If you need to write custom CSS on your site, definitely check out a [free!] tool like Firebug if you use FireFox, or the Developer Tools for either Safari or Chrome. They have “Inspector” tools that let you zoom right over the element you’d like to change, which makes the process much easier.

You could also hire a professional developer to do this for you. We have a list of great developers here → http://m.tri.be/18k1 (and have no affiliation with any of these folks—they’re simply some well-respected names in the community that we’ve compiled to share in situations like this one).

I found the solution elsewhere in the forums. Now I just need to remove Upcoming Events from my page.

Hi Diane,

I’m glad to hear you found a resolution elsewhere in the forums. When it comes to removing upcoming events from your page, if this “Upcoming Events” section you’re referring to is being generated by a widget or shortcode, then simply remove the widget or shortcode.

If you’re only trying to remove a part of an “upcoming events” section, check out the CSS customization tools I recommended above — and then write custom css to hide the Upcoming Events section you’re referring to.
