ParticipantHey Pieter,
I wanted to update you with the news that we have finally reproduced this problem; this appears to be a bug within The Events Calendar and we have filed an official bug report for our development team.
A fix for this bug will likely not arrive for at least two weeks, unfortunately — we don’t have a specific ETA for the arrival of the fix, but somewhere in the range of 2–4 weeks is pretty typical.
I’m sorry for the trouble here, and to bear the bad news, but hope it’s helpful in some sense to know that there is a legitimate bug here and that we are now working on fixing it.
In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, I would recommend refraining from having events with titles very similar to each other — events whose titles might be, for example “December 1, Event A” and then “December 1, Event B”.
If this is not possible, I am sorry and unfortunately don’t know of another temporary workaround.
Your patience here is appreciated — please let us know if there are any other issues or questions we can try to help with!

ParticipantHey Pieter,
Sorry for the slow progress here — just wanted to confirm that we haven’t forgotten your issue, and are working hard on trying to replicate the problem. Thus far, unfortunately, we’ve not been able to recreate the issues — but we’re still working on this!
Stay tuned,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHello!
We’ve got a product called Event Aggregator that allows for just the sort of syncing you describe 😀 You can learn more about this product and its features here → https://theeventscalendar.com/product/event-aggregator/
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any further specific questions about that, or if there’s anything else we can try to help with.
Sincerely,
GeorgeNovember 15, 2016 at 4:48 pm in reply to: Can members of the community post to Event Calendar? #1192861George
ParticipantHey Petra,
Thanks for reaching out!
What you describe is possible with our premium “Community Events” add-on — to learn more about it and its features, check out its official products page here ? https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/
Let me know if that page is helpful and if there are any other questions I can try to help with!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHi Joel,
It looks like you may be using the [tribe_events] shortcode here. View the edit screen of this page in “Text” mode instead of “Visual” mode. Make sure your shortcode does not have any HTML tags around it like this:
[tribe_events]
or this:
<code>[tribe_events]</code>or this:
[tribe_events]
Or any combination of those…you should just have this on its own line:
[tribe_events]☝️ Do you find any such HTML around your shortcodes, and if so, does removing it as instructed above help?
Thanks!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Chris,
Thanks for reaching out.
This is a feature we are actively developing, but it is currently not something our plugins provide. I don’t have a specific ETA for the arrival of this feature, but hopefully some time in 2017 this feature arrives to our plugins in some form.
Please let me know if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with!
