Event Reminders

I would like a visitor, when submitting an event, to get a reminder (either automatically generated or selected by the visitor.) Preferably with a wide range of dates (30 minutes – 1 week). Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out.

This is a feature we are actively developing, but it is currently not something our plugins provide. I don’t have a specific ETA for the arrival of this feature, but hopefully some time in 2017 this feature arrives to our plugins in some form.

Chris, we have plans for attendees to receive an email and/or an SMS reminder.

You could request your idea for Community Events authors to receive reminders as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.

This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.

If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

I can promise it won’t be at the front of the line 😉

But I can also say it’s definitely one we are eager to solve. I can safely say it’ll be months (at the earliest) before this functionality exists from us. That’s not to say you couldn’t custom code something for yourself.

If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
