    Good evening Milla,

That is a great follow-up question.

What I meant is that the Events Calendar plugin is meant to work with the version of the add-ons that are released more or less around the same time.

For example, at the time of writing, the Events Calendar is at version 4.6.11.1

This specific version of the Events Calendar, will work perfectly with:

    1. the Events Calendar Pro 4.4.23
    2. Event Tickets 4.6.3.1
    3. Event Tickets Plus 4.6.2

This is because all of these were programmed and released around the same time and have been tested for compatibility.

If you stopped your subscription after a year, you would still be able to upgrade our free plugins ( the Events Calendar and Event Tickets ). But this is precisely what you should not do because this will result in “unmatching” and untested for compatibility version combinations.

In other words, you will have to stop updating every single plugin from the the Events Calendar or Event Tickets family, even the free ones if you want to continue using your premium non-upgraded versions.

    Have a good weekend,

    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon Milla,

    Thank you for writing back.

That is a great question. We do code our plugins with the highest standards.
But you are right, just like WordPress itself, over time hackers can sometimes find vulnerabilities.

Through all the years I have been around, I have seen this happen a couple of times.
And to put things into perspective, this was a vulnerability that impacted WordPress users at large.

In any case, when something like this is reported we act on it immediately.

So yes, making sure you can upgrade is the best way to prevent vulnerabilities on your site.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Kirk,

Great. I will reach out to you shortly to fill you in on the details.

You are absolutely right, both pre-release and early user access’ goals are to make sure we make Loxi as great as possible while finding out which features we should work on next.

Have a good week and talk to you soon,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Milla and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

After one year, when your license expires, the plugins will still work if you do not choose to renew.

But, you will most likely need to “freeze” your the Events Calendar related plugins to their current version (all of them) to make sure they work with one another.

The good news is that you can still change your mind and renew at any time.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Ken and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

The way to change the first day of the week is to do that for your WordPress site.

While in wp-admin, head over to Settings > General

Look for the Week Starts On setting and change it to Sunday.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Eric and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the translations not kicking in.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I just went on your page and the titles are all correctly displaying in French.
Would you mind confirming this while using a private browsing window (to make sure you are not the victim of browser cache).

If that does not work, would you mind telling me which browser and which OS you are using so that I can run additional tests on my end ?

    Hang in there!

Good evening Cécilia and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the translation issue you have bumped into.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that the French translations should work perfectly.

When translation file strings are not kicking in, it is usually caused by one of the following things:

    1. Your translation files are not up to date
    2. You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These might not be updated and will override any other file.
    3. The strings are translated, but are considered “fuzzy”

In the first 2 cases, the solution is to update your translation files using the pot file. You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.

In the last case, you will need to make them “unfuzzy” using Poedit.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Lars,

I am really sorry your efforts were not met with more success.

Yes, absolutely. We have tested things with the very latest version.
In fact, I just did that again just to be extra sure.

One thing that might be worth a shot is to deactivate and reinstall all the plugins and the extension.

The other thing I am curious about is do you see the PDFs in your /wp-content/uploads/ folder and are they being correctly generated ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey there Mark,

Thank you for taking the time to write back.

    To answer your questions:

    1. The only 2 views available on day one will be Month and List (and of course single event view)
    2. The right-hand column will depend on your website’s design, but the good news is that there is no limit to how many instances of your Loxi calendar you can embed.

In other words, although we will not have widgets such a “Upcoming events” on day one, you could totally “fake it” by embedding a list view in your site’s sidebar. Since the embed is fully responsive, this should work nicely

With all of that in mind, we are planning to do a pre-release test with customers that are interested in about 10 days. Would you like to be part of that ?

    Have a great day!

    Hey there Sara,

It looks like Andras is helping you figure this one out.

Since this thread was mostly about pre-sales, I believe we can close it.

I hope all works great for you in the end.

You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂

    Have a great week!
