Good evening Casper and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The best way to answer your question would be for me to get a copy of your modified file (a .zip file via Dropbox or Google drive).

Without seeing it, normally it would be a simple matter of placing it inside a div before the tribe_event_featured_image code.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hi there!

Thanks so much for getting in touch!

I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum.

But, the good news is that you are still welcome to consult this forum to your liking and browse it for solutions, snippets and tutorials.

    Hello again Rob,

can the word limit be changed anywhere to show less introtext

The list view uses WordPress’ built-in excerpt functionality.
This means that the easiest way to control precisely the content of the excerpt is to use the Excerpt metabox in the Edit Event page.

You can also tweak it’s behaviour and ensure a specific word or character count cutoff:

    1. https://theeventscalendar.com/under-the-hood-filtering-excerpts-events-calendar/
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/the-trouble-with-excerpts/

why does the introtext lose the html styling characteristics i.e. line breaks, paragraphs, bold, bullet points etc.? I’d like to style the introtext a bit more if possible.

I believe the second article above should answer that question.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Rob,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

It looks like this thread is a duplicate of https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/calendar-list-introtext-word-limit/

As such, I will close this one and see you in the other thread in a minute.

    Actually, scratch that.

Just after hitting “Send”, I found a way to reproduce this. My bad.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.

Temporary solution: downgrade to The Events Calendar version 4.5.10.1 (https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/the-events-calendar.4.5.10.1.zip)

You can read all about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/

    Have a great day!

Good evening Nathan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the month navigation not working as expected.
I would love to help you with this topic.

By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1. A conflict with another plugin
    2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
    3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1. Make a backup of your database
    2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Additionally, can you tell me which version of Divi you are running ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Good evening Genevieve,

Thank you for running these tests.

At the time of writing there is no known conflict between the Events Calendar or Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce. In a way this is great news because it means that whatever is going on can be fixed.

As you can imagine, with the high number of customers we have using WooCommerce, this would be a complete disaster!

With that in mind, I am mostly interested in finding out precisely why this is not working for you. If I did not know any better, I would suspect the payment gateway to be conflicting.

At this point, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your /wp-content/plugins/ folder via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

I believe that this should allow me to replicate your exact setup and troubleshoot this.

    Hang in there!

Good evening Jennifer and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the hover color selection acting up on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

I am not exactly sure why the CSS is setup that way on your site.
But, the good news is that I believe this is easy to fix.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    #tribe-events .tribe-events-calendar td:hover a {color: #fff !important}

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Kristina and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

We use WPengine to host our websites. They automatically crate a staging site URL, and we cannot change it to match exactly what is requested by The Events Calendar.

Could you expand on that ? We have several of our customers using wpengine’s staging environments successfully.

What do you mean by URL requested by the Events Calendar ? For license key purposes ?

The client uses the staging site to make updates before they push them on the live site, so it’s important that the Filter Bar license works on both the dev and the live site.

I believe the following article answers that question perfectly: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/

How can switch domains in order to still have full functionality of the product.

I believe you will find all the answers you need here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/

Here is the message that is shown.
It looks like you’re using Event Tickets Plus, but the license key is invalid. Please download the latest version from your account.

Yes, this message means that you are unable to automatically update the plugin from that install.
The article should walk you through your options to work around that.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
