Genevieve
ParticipantHi there
I started a thread about this conflict which Geoff B responded to, but then i got completely caught up wiht work and never took it further and the thread is now closed. This is the link to the original thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/conflict-between-events-calendar-and-woocommerce-variations/#dl_post-1318165
Further information from my friend who set my web page up is:
“issue doesn’t persist when only woocommerce and the events calendar are activated on default theme or your current theme
it’s likely a conflict with another plugin”I’ve put my theme into dropbox as per Geoff B’s suggestion, but I can’t work out how to privately message him with the link (I don’t want to put it here in public).

MemberGood evening Genevieve,
Thank you for writing back.
First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual. Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things. With your theme I was able to edit variations without a problem.
This means that we need to track down what plugin is causing a conflict. The best way to do this is to:
- Keep your theme
- Deactivate all plugins except for the Events Calendar, the Events Calendar Pro, Event Tickets Plus and Event Tickets + WooCommerce
- Reactivate the other plugins one-by-one until the variable product editing breaks.
I realize this can be a tad tedious. But it is the fastest way to get to the bottom of the issue.
Perhaps a simple non-invasive solution would be to make a copy of your site on a local installation (try Local by Flywheel – it is fantastic).
Hang in there!

ParticipantHi Geoff
Thank you for your help. So I have done as you asked, and deactivated all plug ins except for Events Calendar, EC Pro, Event Tickets, ET Plus, and Woocommerce. At that point, the variations issue still persisted. So I deactivated the Events plugins one by one, and the variations issue fixed after deactivating Events Tickets (while Events Calendar was still activated). I then activated Events Tickets again, and variations immediately broke again.
I then deactivated all the Events plugins, and tried activating Events Calendar only and the variations immediately broke. I deactivated Events Calendar and activated Events Tickets and variations still worked.
So it is definitely a conflict to do with Woocommerce and Events Calendar, and maybe Events Tickets is involved also?

MemberGood evening Genevieve,
Thank you for running these tests.
At the time of writing there is no known conflict between the Events Calendar or Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce. In a way this is great news because it means that whatever is going on can be fixed.
As you can imagine, with the high number of customers we have using WooCommerce, this would be a complete disaster!
With that in mind, I am mostly interested in finding out precisely why this is not working for you. If I did not know any better, I would suspect the payment gateway to be conflicting.
At this point, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your /wp-content/plugins/ folder via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
I believe that this should allow me to replicate your exact setup and troubleshoot this.
Hang in there!
